On Sunday, we hosted our first Skills Lab: Get Inverted 🀸

A small group, plenty of coaching, and 60 minutes dedicated to one thing: getting more confident upside down.

Some members were working towards their first handstand kick-up. Others were refining their technique and building consistency. Wherever they started, everyone left with a better understanding of what it takes to get inverted.

One of the biggest benefits of a small group is the opportunity to slow things down, ask questions, get individual feedback and spend time developing skills that often need a little more time than in a normal class setting.

A huge well done to everyone who came along and got stuck in.

This is just the start. We'll be running a Skills Lab every month for our members, giving you the chance to level up different aspects of your training with focused coaching and extra practice time.

Tomorrow from 10am we'll be celebrating Pride Month the best way we know how... by getting together, working hard and having some fun.

Teams will take on three workouts testing teamwork, fitness, strategy and strength.

⚑ UNITY RELAY

A 12-minute relay where athletes choose between Pull Ups, Chest to Bar Pull Ups or Bar Muscle Ups before tackling Dumbbell Hang Snatches. Higher skill movements earn more points, creating some interesting decisions throughout the workout.

πŸ”₯ BELONG

A chipper for time featuring Double Unders, Synchro Toes to Bar, Follow-the-Leader Box Jump Overs, Synchro Devil Presses and Synchro Burpees Over Dumbbells. Expect plenty of communication, teamwork and a bit of suffering.

πŸ‹οΈ PROUD

A 12-minute Team Max Clean where every athlete contributes their heaviest successful lift towards the team's total score.

As always, all levels are welcome. Every workout has the same scaling options you're used to seeing in our daily sessions, so whether it's your first event or your fiftieth, there's a place for you to get involved.

Whether you're chasing points, chasing PBs or just turning up to support your teammates, tomorrow is about celebrating what makes our community special.

Curious about Rush242 Fitness? Every session is open to non-members for the day. No pressure, no commitment, just come and experience what we're all about.

🏳️🌈 Saturday 20th June – Pride WOD & Social
A chance to celebrate the incredible LGBTQ+ community that makes up such a huge part of the Rush242 family. We'll train together, have some fun and head out for food afterwards.

🀸 Sunday 21st June – Get Inverted Lab
Members only. If handstands feel impossible, this workshop is for you. We'll break down the handstand kick-up, cover key strength drills and help you build confidence upside down. No prerequisites needed. Perfect for beginners.

Unreal turnout for our first ever Murph & BBQ Party at the new Arch yesterday and definitely the first of many.

Ridiculously hot weather, tough workout, loads of laughs and every single person got stuck in from start to finishπŸ’ͺ🏽
