Congratulations to Louis who signed for Manchester United Academy last week. I’ve been working with Louis for a couple years now but when he arrived at the first training session he had not even played for a grass roots team before, even so I advised him and his Dad that from my experience and opinion he had the qualities to play Academy football. It seemed like a big statement and that I was probably trying to secure them booking some sessions with me. However it was just how I seen it & since then we have worked endlessly to make this happen and it’s not been easy but to see the progression and development of this young man is truly an amazing thing and one I’m extremely proud of. He’s had set backs during the way but I always believed in him and ensured he believed in himself as he has the qualities and talent to be a professional footballer. The journey must continue along with our hard work, our belief will ensure that. I hope he can navigate his way through the Man Utd academy system and one day make his first team debut and join the list of graduates that have managed to so.
