Cheetham Hill Junior Football Club was formed 6 years ago with one team and has now rapidly grown to become a vibrant football club with 14 teams, plus a thriving Soccer Nursery. The Club now has over 300 members, with children enjoying themselves from the ages of 3 to 14. The teams play in the North Bury Junior League, Bolton and Bury League and the Timperley League. The Club play and train at va
rious venues including Cheetham Cricket Club, Manchester Macabbi, Castlebrook High School, Prestwich High School and Parrenthorn High School. Cheetham Hill has a fantastic reputation for being a well run, welcoming, caring and personal Club where every child matters and are equally valued regardless of their ability. Cheetham Hill serves a wide geographical and socio - economic catchment area ranging from Bury, Whitefield and Prestwich to Crumpsall and Cheetham Hill. The Club embraces every parent and every child from every cultural background. The Club's officials prides itself on knowing every child and parent by name and nature. Cheetham Hill have had great success both on and off the field. Off the field achievements include the following;
- For the last 5 consecutive years being awarded FA Chartered Standard Status as recognition of a Club of good practice.
- Being awarded the Metrolink Club of the Month award.
- The Chairperson being awarded Manchester Coach Of The Year Award for all sports in Manchester
- Being invited to a Manchester United invitation only tournament for Clubs of good practice.
- Being invited to events organised by Everton for under 7's teams in recognition of the high standard they play at.
- Having close links with professional clubs like Manchester City.
- Having significantly more qualified coaches than there are teams.
- Playing at fantastic facilities including private grounds with club houses. The success of the Club off the pitch is mirrored by success on it. During the season just completed the achievements included the following;
- 3 boys being signed professionaly for Manchester City, Stoke City and Burnley
- 3 girls playing at the professional clubs of Manchester United, Bolton and Rochdale
- Over 30 children having trained with professional clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, Huddersfield, Stoke, Burnley, Rochdale and Bury.
- One of the teams at under 13 level winning the league and cup double and going undefeated all year.
- One of the under 7's teams winning their cup competition
- One of the under 11's teams winning their cup competition
- Three other teams in the Club being runners in their competition at the age groups of under 13's, 9's and 7's
respectively. Cheetham Hill's success is based around developing first and foremost good people. The Club places great emphasis on the coaches being good role models where sessions reflect the primary objectives of fun, improvement, enjoyment and development.
