With less than a week to go until applications close, we’re delighted to welcome Jordan Sheard as our UPLIFT Producer for 2026!

For UPLIFT 2026, this year we’re looking to commission three Dance Artists from the North West to join Company Chameleon at our home studio for a four-week residency in Autumn.

As an UPLIFT artist, you’ll work closely with Jordan, who was an UPLIFT artist herself in 2023, (and returned for a special performance of her piece ‘The Joy of Kissing’ in 2025), so she knows exactly what the experience involves and will be wonderfully placed to support you.

Jordan said, “UPLIFT was such a springboard for me as an artist, so it feels really special to be part of creating that space for other dance makers. I’m excited to bring the same warmth, care and openness that I felt during my own residency, and to hear about all the ideas and projects people want to bring into the studio! If you’re thinking of applying, go for it, it truly is a fantastic opportunity.”

When you’re in , we help you to develop your performance skills as a young dance artist through opportunities to perform at all sorts of festivals, theatres and events.

As is part of Company Chameleon, we help you to grow your confidence as a performer by sharing what we’ve learnt from professionally performing over the last 15 years.

Whether it’s in Manchester, Salford, Leeds or London, you can look forward to a mix of performance experiences, which includes taking the stage alongside Company Chameleon.

2026 is here!

If you’ve got burning idea you want to explore or you’ve started work on a show that needs more development, then our artist-in-residence programme is for you!

We’re looking to commission three Dance Artists to join Company Chameleon at our studio for a four-week residency in Autumn 2026.

The residency is an opportunity to develop new or unfinished work, with the support of:
💫 £2000 towards project costs.
💫 Four-week residency of free studio space.
💫 Mentoring and support from Company Chameleon’s creative team.
💫 Opportunity to perform at our November platform – a chance to share up to 20 minutes of your work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

Then don't miss the opportunity to audition for our youth dance company, and make dance your craft through training and connecting with one of the UK’s leading dance companies.

The opportunity to audition only happens once a year and this year’s Open Audition is coming up in July.
