FRIENDLIES & TOURNAMENTS || WEEK 1
🌟B Pro U13 Archers🌟
U13 Archers played a friendly up in Norden against a solid Pennine team we played some class football and took the win 5-2 in the end but they made us work for it. They wanted revenge for beating them in the cup final. They took the early goal but we didn’t give up and equalised soon after then we took the lead then didn’t look back. We all had immense fun but really locked in. MOTM went to Layton and Jordan who linked up fantastically well. This signs us out for a couple of weeks but we will concentrate on fitness pre season for training. What a way to close the season.🙌
🌟B Pro U13 Pinks🌟
Radcliffe Sunday Tournament Report
The final action of the season saw BPro U13 pinks travel to Redbank Playing Fields for the Radcliffe Sunday Tournament, where they faced three group-stage matches of 15 minutes each, with the top two teams progressing to the semi-finals.
What followed was another outstanding display of pride, determination, and teamwork from a squad that has continued to grow throughout the season.
Group Stage
BPro started strongly against Horwich, producing an excellent performance and a deserved 3-0 victory. Awesome opened the scoring before adding a second, showing her quality in front of goal. Karis completed the scoring with a fantastic finish after another energetic display.
The second match against Roach proved to be a tighter affair. Despite creating chances and controlling large spells of the game, BPro were unable to find a breakthrough and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
In the final group game against Dynamo, BPro showed great character after falling behind. The team refused to give in and continued battling until Awesome found the equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw and help send BPro into the semi-finals.
Semi-Final
A hard-fought semi-final against Radcliffe showcased everything that has made this team successful throughout the season. Defensively resolute and committed from first whistle to last, BPro held firm for a 0-0 draw.
The tie was ultimately decided by penalties, with Radcliffe progressing 3-0 in the shootout. While disappointment was understandable, the players could be immensely proud of their efforts after another determined tournament performance.
Player Performances
Laila was outstanding in goal throughout the day. Commanding her area with confidence, she conceded just one goal in open play across the entire tournament and produced a superb penalty save during the semi-final shootout.
Ava was solid and determined in defence. She cleared her lines effectively, stayed composed under pressure, and ensured very little got past her.
Lils was the powerhouse of the back line. Stronger and more powerful than every opponent she faced, she led by example throughout. Although disappointed to miss her penalty in the shootout, it showed tremendous courage and leadership to step forward and take responsibility.
Jorgie was fantastic all tournament. She consistently covered for teammates, read danger early, and calmly dealt with any threats before they developed.
Ruby, wearing the captain’s armband, delivered inspired performances in every game. She held the defence together when needed and drove the team forward whenever BPro were searching for goals.
Awesome enjoyed a brilliant tournament and was central to so much of BPro’s success. She stepped up in key moments, scored all three of her goals when the team needed them most, and finished as BPro’s top scorer. Struck her penalty well but was saved.
Giselle worked tirelessly in midfield. She supported attacks, found space intelligently, and matched every opponent physically, refusing to be intimidated and taking no nonsense throughout the day.
Jazmin provided excellent support in midfield, moving the ball well and battling hard to win possession back for her team whenever required.
On her debut, Heidi gave a fantastic account of herself. She showed confidence on the ball, played several excellent passes, and wasn’t afraid to take shots when opportunities arose.
Lottie brought energy and pace down the left side all day. Fast, direct, and determined, she was excellent on the ball while also working hard to track back and help defensively.
Karis enjoyed a superb tournament, constantly finding space, making intelligent runs, and capping her performances with a well-deserved goal. Unfortunate with her penalty but brave to step up yet again, always puts her team first.
Poppy led the line with determination and commitment. Although frustrated at times by the final delivery, she never stopped pressing from the front and worked tirelessly for her teammates. Shot her penalty narrowly past the post but yet again stepped up bravely.
A Season to Be Proud Of
The tournament ended with another semi-final appearance, making it BPro’s second semi-final of the season. Most impressively, the team did not lose a single game in open play and conceded only one goal throughout the entire tournament.
The players showed incredible pride, resilience, and determination from start to finish, qualities that have defined their season. They can look back on their U12 campaign with their heads held high, knowing they represented themselves, their teammates, and the club brilliantly.
Finally, a huge thank you to all the parents for your fantastic support throughout the season. Your encouragement, positivity, and constant cheering have played a huge part in the team’s journey and helped create such a positive environment for every player.
Well done girls!⚽️
