Playing sport and being active is a big part of student life at The University of Manchester and getting involved can really add to your University experience. Whatever your motivation, playing sport is the perfect opportunity to form lasting friendships, develop skills valued by employers, take a break from studying and most importantly stay fit and healthy! You won’t believe the range of sports

and activities we offer and you can choose to take part competitively or socially – it is up to you! Many of the programmes are open to all levels of ability whether you’re a complete beginner or a budding Olympian. We also have an impressive track record (ranked 17th 2014-15) in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) league where our 42 University Sports Clubs compete against other Universities across the UK.
