Frustrating night at Skegness Raceway on Thursday night for Alex.
Thursday was the final chance to score qualifying points for the Rebels Racing World Wide Rebellion in September. After a good battle with the yellow grade drivers in H1, Alex spun around and the fan belt had turn itself inside out and come off so he quickly came to a halt on T1 and stopped any damage to the engine.
In H2, the steering bolts were loose when returning from the track so finished in 22nd.
Alex started the final as the last car on the grid had a good race trying to move forward and avoiding the carnage that unfolded and came home in 23rd.
Lots of cars was great to see but frustrating to not be in the mix but that’s stockcar racing.
2 more days of racing on Sunday and Monday for the conclusion of the East Coast & Rebel Treble championships.
Wouldn’t be possible without the support of the team:
Dad, Jess and Rebecca keeping the wheels turning in a fast paced meeting.
