FlexiFitness

FlexiFitness Fitness for busy lives I became interested in fitness after a recurring shoulder injury. Now I want to help others become a fitter version of themselves.

It wasn't until I was in my thirties that I realised how important it is to look after yourself. If we don't look after ourselves we leave ourselves open to injury, to stress, and to weight gain - to name a few things. Exercise and eating healthy has changed me and I'm much fitter now in my thirties than I ever was in my twenties. A healthy diet and lifestyle with exercise is beneficial to us all

on many levels - it helps with stress, to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, to sleep better, to have better skin... the benefits are numerous. At FlexiFitness it is my aim to empower you with the skills and motivation that you need to make the right changes for you, however busy your lifestyle may be. And I'll be with you every step of the way to make sure you get there!

April for me has been one nasty virus after the other, and health and exercise has taken a backseat. I have eaten much more than I usually would (once the vomiting bug was gone!), and much more of the wrong stuff than usual, and I have done virtually no exercise all month.
My body just hasn't been up to it, and that's ok. I'll feel better and I'll get back on track. It doesn't matter that I've put on a couple of pounds this month, because I have a long-term strategy, and short-term set-backs will happen. The important thing is to accept that things won't always go to plan, let your body rest and recover if it needs to, then ease your way back into things once your body tells you it's ready.
It's easy to feel bad for not staying on plan, but don't - part of a good plan is having a plan B, and that means responding to change and moving on. In the meantime, keep drinking fluids and rest up!

New research suggests that short bursts of intense exercise may be healthier than long, stamina building sessions in the gym.

Interval training is high on the agenda if you are pushed for time but want results. More bang for your buck and not spending hours at the gym each week!

Studies suggest that a more demanding approach to exercise is not only safe for most patients but also more effective at preventing and reversing the problems of many ailments.
