NEIL Custis has been having a smashing time lately. The Vice Captain broke his kitchen window when his ultra-powerful shot burst through his practice net and shattered the glass pane. Then, just before he teed off in the Didsbury match, his bag fell off his buggy, and his new Ping driver was snapped in two. Still, using his three wood, Neil and his partner Captain Lexi Hughes won their match 4 and 3, making it four wins, three halves and only one defeat in the league this season.

Just a quick email to say a massive thank you to the team at Northenden Golf Club, from getting there for breakfast to a beer after golf, absolutely loved it, course was in magnificent condition and a real test, please pass on our thanks to the greens staff plus the rest of the team, 1st time we have visited but we will be back every year now.

What a sizzler…on and off the course for Lady Captain’s Day ! Sue Denford put on a great show with a delightful halfway house table of delicious confections PLUS a glass of delightful Pimms.
Night-time was just as good with a well-received dinner and dancing as the Ladies turned up in their finery.
