Mountfield FC were a surprise package this year unfortunately only 10 turned up but they showed great quality throughout the group games, to make matters worse their keeper got injured in the first game all the teams rallied round and let them use their keeper for the group games, if they had a bigger squad they would have good enough win the tournament.

Bedians happy hosts for our fourth annual tournament, this year competition was fierce and we scraped through to the semi-finals after losing to Cliffe FC who won the group and it looked like Mountfield would join them in the semi’s however Mountfield lost there last game as they ran out of steam due having ten men.

A good result for the lads. We tried a few different tactics, and it worked well for us against a lively Flixton squad. It was a free-flowing game, with chances at both ends and some good defending. Man of the match Tomasz deserves a mention, as he makes great saves look easy every week.
We go again Saturday against a new team who we know very little about and will be a different challenge.
