Good luck to our coach, Neil, and Workington swimmer Lea as they take on the incredible challenge of The Wall Ultramarathon.

Together, they’ll be covering an astonishing 70 miles in memory of Sarah – a much-loved wife, mum, and member of our swimming family, who sadly passed away from cancer last year.

This challenge is about so much more than the miles. It’s a tribute to Sarah’s memory and an opportunity to raise money for the amazing work carried out by Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.

Lea may be more at home in the swimming pool than on a running course, but we’re incredibly proud of both of them for taking on this challenge together.

Summer is coming! Please share our lifesaving advice to help us keep people safe 📢

Some areas of the UK are exceeding 30°C this week. With many families enjoying the sun this half term, we are asking you to remember one thing if you're by the water:

- Tilt your head back with your ears submerged
- Relax and try to breathe normally
- Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat
- It's OK if your legs sink, we all float differently
- Once your breathing is under control, call for help or swim to safety.

Another fantastic grass-roots community group supported by the Dobies Cumbria Charitable Trust 💙

We were proud to support Workington Swimming Club, who are now DIVISION 2 WINNERS 🏆
Our donation helped port costs so the team could travel to swim competitions throughout the season — a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. Congratulations to all the swimmers, coaches and supporters on a brilliant success 👏

Good luck to our Workington SC Diddy League team competing in Round 2 at Copeland Pool this afternoon!

For many of our younger swimmers this is a great chance to gain confidence, race hard, support teammates and most importantly have fun! 🏊‍♂️💦
