Jay-Jay Okocha’s 2002/03 season at Bolton is difficult to measure cleanly.
The output was strong enough: 31 appearances, 7 goals and 3 assists. But the real value was in what he gave Bolton beyond the spreadsheet: control, unpredictability, personality and belief in a side fighting to stay up.
This is exactly where Peak Index gets interesting. Not every great season is built on huge goal numbers. Some are built on influence.
Peak Index Score: 86.4
Was Okocha’s Bolton peak underrated, overrated, or impossible to judge by numbers alone?
