A little milestone for The Honest Mums Club 🩶

I’ve officially passed my Mental Health Awareness course and received my certificate! 🎉

It may be just one certificate, but it means a lot to me because it reflects something I care deeply about.

Maternal mental health is at the heart of what I want The Honest Mums Club to be. I want to create a space where mums and their families can have honest conversations, feel truly listened to and know they don’t have to navigate the transition into motherhood alone.

I’m also very aware that I’m not a mental health professional, and I don’t want to be. But what I do want is to keep learning, understand my boundaries, recognise when someone might need extra support and know how to signpost mums to the right places when they need it.

So this is one more little step towards bringing you the Honest Mums Club antenatal classes, something I’m building with so much care 🩶

Because mums deserve honest, realistic and compassionate support 🩶

I had ALL sorts planned for this summer… 🙈

I was going to launch my antenatal classes, get everything finished, organised and looking beautiful.

And then… reality happened 😂

Instead, I’ve been surviving the summer holidays, juggling harvest, family life and everything else that comes with it!

But behind the scenes, I have been working on it. I’ve been researching, learning and completing courses because I want to make sure that when I launch my antenatal classes, I’m bringing you the very best I can.

I don’t want to give you the polished, picture-perfect version of motherhood.

I want you to have the full, honest and realistic picture, the things you actually want to know before your baby arrives, including the bits nobody seems to talk about.

Because mums and families deserve to feel prepared, informed and supported 🩶

So, while the launch might be taking a little longer than I originally planned… I promise it’s coming!

And I’d LOVE to know, what do you wish someone had told you before you had your baby?

Booking is live for my next meet up!!

Run by myself, a qualified pre and postnatal educator I’ll have the lovely Jess | Pregnancy Yoga | Baby Massage | Malton | Kirkbymoorside popping in to say hello, plus the usual tea, cake and chats. ☕️🍰

And… my children will NOT be in attendance this month 🙈 😂
So this one should be a much calmer affair!

Come along, grab a cuppa, have a chat and spend a couple of hours with other mums who just get it. No judgement, no pressure, just a safe space to be yourself 🩶

I popped into Malton equine laundry this morning to drop a few things off and ended up staying half the morning putting the world to rights. 😂

We covered ALLSORTS! Postpartum, breastfeeding, motherhood, work, kids, the juggle, the guilt, the chaos… basically, we solved all of life’s problems. 😂

Honestly though, it was such a lovely chat. Two mums working hard, raising their children, running a business and juggling all the plates that come with motherhood was really inspiring!

It’s conversations like this that remind me why I’m doing this. There’s something so brilliant about women sitting down together and just saying, “Yep, me too!” 🩶

So, ladies… sorry for hijacking half your morning 🙈 But I honestly left feeling so inspired it was lovely to chat you both 🩶

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to my Summer Holiday Mums Meet-Up this morning 🩶
I didn’t take any pictures so here’s me being used a climbing frame 🙈🤣

It was so lovely to see so many of you, and a huge thank you to Karen Ellis - Postnatal Exercise, Pelvic floor, Diastasis Recti for sharing her expert advice on pelvic health and postnatal recovery.

I also loved having all the bigger children there… although I think it’s safe to say mine have officially put me off doing that again! 😂

Turns out trying to host a meetup, have meaningful conversations, make tea, keep everyone happy and referee sibling arguments is a skill I haven’t quite mastered yet. If you saw me doing laps of the room looking slightly frazzled, now you know why 🙈

Thank you all for bearing with the chaos and for making it such a lovely morning. Motherhood is never perfect, and I suppose today’s meetup was a pretty accurate reflection of that! I can’t wait to see you all at the next one… where my children may have mysteriously found alternative plans 😂🩶

🌸 You asked… so I delivered! 🌸

Although I was planning to take a little break over the summer, so many of you asked if Honest Mums Club would still be running that I couldn’t say no, I’ve even got a special guest coming along… more info about that soon!

So, we’ll be meeting in August at Burythorpe House, and if the weather is kind to us, hopefully we’ll be able to make the most of the beautiful garden too. ☀️🌿

I’ll have my girls with me so older siblings are more than welcome just let me know when booking so I have an idea of ages and what to bring along!

Whether you’re a regular or thinking of coming along for the first time, you’ll be met with a warm welcome, a cuppa, friendly conversation, and a relaxed, judgement-free space to connect with other mums.
