🏏 Second XI match result

Nick Lock’s second XI continued their good form with a four wicket win on Saturday.

After restricting Woodhouse Grange 3rds to 170-8 from their 45 overs, the lads got over the line six down.

Tom Bumby (3-36) & Tom Ward (3-64) led with the ball then Ryan Wharton (60) & Tom Fairburn (44) ensured the win was secured.

🏏 Second XI T20 result

Nick Lock’s second XI are through to the Quarter Finals of the Edward Readman Memorial Cup after beating New Earswick CC.

Batting first, Ryan Wharton’s 44 & Charlie Revis’s 29 set a good platform for Tom Ward’s 17 ball 33* to lift us to 162-7.

A combined bowling effort led by Tommy Palmer’s 3-25 & backed up by Tom Fairburn (3-37) & Tom Bumby (2-16) then bowled the visitors out for 141 to seal the win.

🏏 Fourth XI match result

The fourths slipped to a loss at home to Crayke CC yesterday afternoon.

Charlie Towse, fresh from his 18th birthday party the night before, top-scored with 23. Chester Driver & Joe Browne scored 17 each as the only other notable batting scores.

Chester & Katie Monkman took a wicket each but the result unfortunately was in no doubt.

🏏 Third XI match result

The thirds extended their winning run to six, beating Rufforth & Marston CC 2nds.

Being asked to bat first, Rob Green (78) & Harry Johnson (50) put on 102 for the first wicket as we made 202-9 in our 40 overs.

Lewis Bennison got the show going in our defence, his 3-18 reducing the hosts to 31-4.

After a recovery from Rufforth, Ollie Barnett snapped up 5-35 to close the innings out & secure a 33 run win.

The thirds host Knaresborough 3rds next Saturday at the Gannock.

🏏 First XI match result

The firsts dominated from start to finish in a conclusive 10 wicket win against North Cave Coal Exporters CC.

Matty Webster starred with the ball, his 4-8 backed up by Adam Spaven’s 3-23 & Adam Durrants 2-17 as the visitors were bowled out for 59.

The chase was done in 4.2 overs, Charlie Allott’s 34* coming from 18 balls & Shaun Harland’s 21* from 9 balls.

The result lifts us back to second in YPLN Championship Central.

Next week we travel to Selby CC.

🏏 RBL Result

Nick Lock’s much changed side came out on top away at the picturesque Hovingham CC on Thursday night.

An excellent display from all bowlers, led by Matty Hornby’s 3-14 was backed up by a dominant opening partnership.

The RBL side host Pickering next Thursday, 6.15pm start.
