5:40 PRESENTANDCOUNTING - Theo Gillard
Useful chaser at best who took advantage of a slipping mark at Uttoxeter (2½m) last summer. Confirmed he retains ability on second start back from a break when second of 3 in 23f handicap at Kelso last month.

6:10 (2)
LADY OF TARUS - William Maggs
€40,000 3-y-o, Blue Bresil mare. Half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler The Hardest Geezer. Unseated rider sole start in Irish points (Feb 2025) but her pedigree makes her of interest now switched to a bumper.

6:10 EVENLY - Harry Atkins
Mountain High mare. Dam, ran once in bumper, half-sister to fair hurdle winner/fairly useful chaser (stayed 25f) Bobs Law.

EARNEST BELIEF - William Maggs
A fair maiden on Flat for John & Thady Gosden. Failed to build on an encouraging hurdling debut third at Carlisle when a well-held fourth at Hexham three weeks ago. Tongue tied and fitted with cheekpieces now. Not written off.

DOUBLE INDEMNITY - Theo Gillard
Point winner. Shaped well when runner-up in novice at Carlisle on hurdling bow in February but pulled up in novice here (2½m) following month. Worth another chance after a break.

2:25 KADJAR DES MOTTES - Theo Gillard
Largely consistent without winning under both codes until only sixth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Haydock (3m) 49 days ago. The sort to bounce back with cheekpieces added.

3:00 ROCK HURLEY - William Maggs
Sole success for current connections came over C&D last year, and while it was a small step back in the right direction when fourth here in March, he'll need to jump better to play a more significant role.

3:32 SUPREME GEORGE - Theo Gillard
Much improved on the back of a breathing operation, making it 4 wins from last 6 starts at Chepstow (2m) in April, encouraging that he was notably fluent in the jumping department in the latter stages. 4 lb rise should see him competitive again.

4:45 AFTER THE BALL - Theo Gillard
Maiden pointer who has shaped with little promise in 3 starts over hurdles but may show more now upped markedly in trip (bred to stay at least 3m).

5:20 PHANTOM OF DELIGHT - Theo Gillard
£30,000 5-y-o, Mahler mare. Sister to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser Ms Parfois, stayed 4¼m, and half-sister to 2 winners, including fair hurdler/chaser Carrigready. Bred to need much further in time but still shouldn't be overlooked in the betting.

It is with great sadness we pass on the news that our mother Beryl left us peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of this morning. It leaves a huge hole in our family but we take great peace in knowing that her and dad are now reunited. Rest in peace Mum.

Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse
2:10 Heffalump - David Bass
Remote sixth of 7 in a Carlisle bumper in November. Had a breathing operation since. Likely best watched on hurdles debut.

2:10 Mr Mojo Risin - Theo Gillard
Lightly-raced maiden who built on his hurdling debut when fourth of 10 in novice at Kelso (2m, good to soft, 10/3) 44 days ago. Tongue strap on first time. Likely contender.

2:45 Siege Of Acres - Theo Gillard
No real impact in a trio of starts in this sphere last season and couldn't build on encouraging chase debut in 2 outings over the larger obstacles. Reverts to hurdling with something to prove.

3:20 City Of Diamonds - Harry Cobden
IImproved again to make a winning handicap debut over 2m at Musselburgh in November. Form has stalled of late though, so hard to see him getting involved, especially given tendency to jump right at this left-handed track.

3:55 Grain D'oudairies - Harry Cobden
Made it 2 wins from first 3 starts this season when scoring at Haydock (19.9f) in December. Posted a decent second at Doncaster in January and shaped as if back in form faced with a pretty stiff task in the Red Rum at Aintree last month, travelling well for a long way. Respected.

4:30 Cahier's Den - Theo Gillard
Remains winless under Rules but he comes here in good nick, second of 6 in handicap chase at Newcastle (23f) 46 days ago. Ought to be thereabouts agai

Uttoxeter Racecourse
5:20 Jiair Madrik - Charlie Maggs
Fair hurdler/chaser in France. Yet to reproduce that level in Britain but his mark continues to slide.

5:20 Independent Jimmy - William Maggs
Winner of handicap hurdle at Bangor last autumn. Also placed over fences on next 2 outings. Freshened up since a lesser effort at Musselburgh in November.

8:30 Roarin' Success - Charlie Maggs
Fairly useful performer on the level (stays 1¼m). Showed more than first time up over hurdles when second in 17f maiden at Newcastle in January but failed to repeat that effort at Catterick next time. Needs more now entering handicaps fit from the Flat.
