We are really proud to announce that Malmesbury Victoria WFC have been 🏆 *PROMOTED* 🏆 and will be playing in the *Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League Ladies Premier Division* for the 26-27 season!

This is a huge testament to the commitment and work put in by our players, coaches and support team the last two seasons. We are very much looking forward to stepping up and facing this next challenge head on!!

This news comes as we also make the move towards building our very own reserves team over the course of next season so as to enter a second team into the league in time for the 27-28 season.

With that being said, we continue to welcome ANY NEW PLAYERS of ALL ABILITIES!!

So much to celebrate from this last season and lots forward to next season!

Absolutely incredible!! We should all be super duper proud of what we’ve achieved and how far we’ve come the last 2 seasons!!

A big thank you to every single one of you. As a club we are so so lucky to have such amazing players show up week in week out in support of this team. We are a TEAM first and foremost. We show up and we play FOR each other, not as individuals, which makes us incredibly special!! ⚽️

“What…a…Final game of the season!
You all played absolutely amazing football today, playing for each other and giving everything on that pitch. The atmosphere was electric and it felt like we built momentum throughout the game leading to our first goal with Alice nearly taking the net off!

Playing back on our home grass pitch took a bit of getting used to especially with the bounce which lead to the equalising goal. Here’s the but….. our heads did not drop and we weathered the Salisbury pressure and took hold of the game again heaping pressure on their defence coming close to scoring multiple times.

We fought hard for the 1-1 draw and on another day I feel we would have won that match. It shows how strong this team is and how much effort you all put into playing football, I feel immensely proud of what you all have achieved this season and I’m sure you all do.” - Rich

🏆 POTM 🏆

Such a difficult decision today as we felt every player deserved POM. Everyone put a shift in and did some amazing things at key moments in the game but our POM today is *CATHY*

Cathy was so so hard on herself at half time but she was up against Salisbury’s captain and one of their top players who was very capable of some dangerous crosses. Cathy stayed calm, won almost every ball and dealt with everything that was thrown at her.

A close game like today is always a defensive win in my opinion and Cathy was so SO effective at her job.

🏆 Amalie got supporters player and rightly so. Worked incredibly hard on the right wing and was unlucky not to score.

⚽️ A special mention to our incredible goal scorer Alice!! You ran your socks off all game and scored an absolute worldie!! Big well done 👏🏻

Full Time!
Today’s match away at Stratton FC saw us back playing on grass for the first time in ages. The pitch was hard and it was difficult to get the ball under control and find our passing rhythm. Right from the start we could see that Friday’s match was still being felt in the legs of everyone!

We created lots of chances but found the Stratton keeper always in the right place at the right time thwarting our forwards. We kept our press but Stratton took a lead into half time. Second half saw our game steadily improve creating more goal scoring opportunities and after levelling at 2-2, we pressed for a winner which unfortunately never came.

Finding the energy to keep going throughout the second game in 48 hours was difficult but our POTM showed us that even when not feeling 100%, we never give up.

Today’s POTM is Helen, she was cool calm and collected in defence even stepping forward with the ball occasionally to push us up the field and set up chances to score.

Great effort Helen, you played a super strong Centre Back game!
