A huge congrats to our Ladies' 2s who are joint winners of the Tipples Cup alongside hosts Marden ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

Game one: 4-0 win v Tunbridge Wells
Game two: 0-0 draw v Marden 3s
Game three: 3-0 win v Holcombe
Final: 1-1 draw v Marden 4s

Coach Dylan said: โ€œIt was a really positive day with high energy and great team play. Given it was our first match play since last season, it was very promising - and there was a real sense of strong team spirit throughout.โ€

Thatโ€™s a wrap for our mixed teams in the Folkestone summer league ๐Ÿ‘

Last night was the final game for the Iguanadons ๐Ÿฆ– Even though Honor scored, the team unfortunately lost 3-1 to Canterbury Red.

A huge thank you to Tom for all his organising throughout the summer, to everyone who stepped in to play, and to Folkestone Optimist Hockey Club for hosting another brilliant league.

It was another successful summer camp over Wednesday and Thursday! We had another great turnout of kids, with some being new to hockey, who all practiced complex skills, worked hard and learned key game play skills ๐Ÿ‘ The two days were most enjoyable, for both the kids partaking and for the coaches. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป A huge thank you to Lizzie for organising the whole camp, to Rak and Jermaine for leading the camp, and to our coaches and juniors who got involved โญ๏ธ We are so excited to see how the upcoming season plays out!

We're so pleased to celebrate another one of our players - Maddy - who recently competed in the International Masters Cup in Belgium playing for Alliance Blue W60 ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ’™

Considering the team had never met or played with eachother until the tournament, they came fourth out of eight teams ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Only narrowly missing out on Bronze after a 2-1 defeat in the semi finals against Australian Spirits Sunset.

Well done Maddy, what an achievement! ๐ŸŒŸ

Building on the achievements of our county players, Alex (Men's 2s) had a successful first season in the England Hockey Talent Academy system which led to his selection for the TA Cup in Nottingham in July.

We're really pleased to hear that based on his performances during the tournament, Alex has now been invited to the England U16 Boys trial weekend in September ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
