Big learning win to close out 2025 ๐
I recently received my certificate for the EDS Hypermobility course I completed at the back end of last year and Iโm so happy to say I passed with 96% on the case study ๐
Always love learning. Always something new to understand, refine, and apply. The more we know, the better we can support the people we work with.
Soโฆ.
What is EDS Hypermobility?
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) are connective-tissue conditions where joints are more flexible than typical and joints may move too far or with less stability. This can contribute to pain, instability, fatigue and challenges with typical exercise or movement. Safe movement strategies are key because joints can easily strain or injure if pushed beyond what the nervous system and muscles are ready for.
What is the Integral Movement Method (IMM)?
The Integral Movement Method (IMM) is a specialised movement approach developed by Jeannie Di Bon thatโs designed specifically for people with EDS, HSD and related chronic pain conditions. Itโs not a generic fitness program โ itโs built around making movement safe, mindful and effective for bodies with hypermobility.
Jeannieโs approach grew from her own lived experience with hypermobile EDS and decades of study in biomechanics, Pilates, anatomy, neuroscience and pain management โ she has since helped thousands of people with similar conditions and trains other professionals in this method.
Huge thank you to for sharing such valuable knowledge and expertise. Grateful for the guidance ๐
