🐾🏃‍♀️ Rosie's Trust 5K Success for Jessie & Lexie Smith! 🏃‍♀️🐾

A huge well done to sisters Jessie and Lexie Smith, who took part in the Rosie's Trust 5K at the weekend, supporting a truly fantastic local charity.

Jessie had a brilliant run and was rewarded with an outstanding 2nd Female Overall finish, earning a place on the podium. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to all the hard work and dedication she puts into her training week after week. 👏🥉

Not to be outdone, Lexie also put in a great performance, showing determination and enthusiasm throughout the event. We are incredibly proud of both girls for representing Mallusk Harriers Juniors so well.

The event raises funds for Rosie's Trust, a Northern Ireland charity that provides practical support by caring for the pets of people receiving treatment, living with long-term illness, or facing end-of-life care. Their volunteers help ensure that people can remain with their beloved pets during some of life's most difficult times, providing comfort and companionship when it matters most. The work they do makes a real difference to families across Northern Ireland.

Congratulations again to Jessie on her podium finish and to both Jessie and Lexie for supporting such a worthy cause. 💙💛💚

🏆🥇 A Fantastic Achievement for Daniel Jordan! 🥇🏆

A huge congratulations to Daniel Jordan on becoming U13 Pentathlon Champion at the NI & Ulster Combined Events Championships 2026 on 30th August! 🎉

Competing across five demanding disciplines, Daniel showcased outstanding versatility, determination and athletic talent to claim the top spot and bring home the gold medal. 💪⭐

The Pentathlon challenges athletes to perform across a range of events, requiring speed, strength, endurance and skill, making this a truly impressive achievement. Daniel's hard work and commitment in training have paid off in style.

🌟 Congratulations, Sinead! 🌟

Everyone at Mallusk Harriers is incredibly proud of our junior athlete Sinead, who successfully completed her Coaching Assistant Course on 23 August. Sinead has been a fantastic ambassador to our sport and club for many years, always supportive and encouraging to everyone around her.

Seeing our young athletes develop not only as runners but also as future coaches and role models is what our club is all about. Your hard work, dedication and willingness to learn are an inspiration to others.

It was great to see our Mallusk Harriers Seniors also compete last night. A special shout to Tom Magee, not only did make the podium, but he broke the club record for the mile with a time of 4:44. Our juniors are in awe of you Tom, you're inspiring the next generation 👏👏
