Happy to have lifted 170 today 😃

Down 6kg from last time I did this so good to see strength is still there as my weight and bodyfat has dropped.

All moving in the right direction. Stronger, leaner, fitter, healthier and most importantly happier.😁

For most of you committing to a bodybuilding lifestyle of restrictive food plan, large training volumes, limited social life, dieting to ridiculously low body fat and then bulking back up isn’t necessary at all.
_
You don’t need to train like Ronnie Coleman to get great results.
_
If you are a beginner or even an intermediate who has lost there way the focus should be on building the 3 following things
_
1️⃣A good aerobic base
2️⃣Improving range of motion
3️⃣Getting stronger
_
My advice would be to adopt a full body approach built around push, pull, squat, hip hinge and carries.
_
You will notice a massive improvement in your posture, strength and overall work capacity.
_
You will feel better, not be killing yourself for 10 minutes of glory on a stage and you’ll also be able to enjoy your social life whilst getter results.
_
Stop training like a pro bodybuilder
_
Choose balance. Train consistently, improve your aerobic capacity, become more functional and get stronger whilst enjoying your food and the odd night out here and there 😃

Build a solid base with good foundations

You learnt how to walk before you ran so why is it any different with weights?

Start with body weight movements and progress from there. Starting under a barbell or load is a sure fire way to lead to long term injuries.
_
The true master is the one who practices the fundamentals consistently and then builds of them.
_
Save yourself the pain of injury and going back to square one by nailing the basics and progressing from there. Your future you will thank you for it.
_
