It’s mad how many women still think the answer is just hitting macros or tracking perfectly

Like that’s not the hard bit
The hard bit is staying steady when life gets messy
when you’ve had a meal off plan, or you’re tired or things don’t go perfectly

That’s where most people spiral
Not because they don’t know what to do
but because they’ve never been taught how to handle the middle bit, the grey zone I call it

That’s what changes everything
Once you fix that side of it, the mindset, the habits, the standards
you stop overthinking it and you just get on with it

You don’t need another plan
You just need to actually understand yourself enough to stick to one

Everyone wants the before and after,
but no one talks about the bit in between

The bit where you’re not smashing it every day,
but you’re not falling apart either…
You’re just steady, holding fort when life’s a bit fu***ng messy

Real progress isn’t about being perfect girls,
it’s catching yourself mid spiral and choosing differently this time
It’s having the takeaway or the night out,
and not letting it turn into a bad week, you just make the choice and then move on

It’s when your choices start to quietly line up
with who you say you want to be

Not because you’re clean buzzing with motivation,
but because you’re done breaking promises to yourself

It’s not loud and it’s not the type of result you can post on Instagram and get flooded with well done comments,
but it’s the kind that actually lasts

Everybody’s been told they need to suffer their way to results, sprint, restrict, crash, repeat and then wonder why they can’t stick to it long term

It’s not you, it’s the way we’ve all been taught it’s meant to feel miserable

You don’t need another shred or a new plan, you just need to build it in a way that actually fits your life, so you can look class and still enjoy living it

Shannon messaged us yesterday and said something that proper got us

“I actually felt good in everything I wore last week and I’ve started to not absolutely hate getting pictures took as much now”

That line right there girls… that’s the real transformation

Not the 25lbs she’s lost, not how much leaner she looks in these photos from this year vs last year

It’s that she doesn’t spend her life feeling s**t about herself anymore

A year ago Shannon was turning up to the gym but she wasn’t really there

Hopping between machines with no structure and no real push to get anything out of it

Talking herself out of sessions before she even started

And the worst part? She KNEW she was capable of more, she just didn’t believe it yet

That was the problem. It wasn’t about effort or time.. it was her belief

Fast forward to now and she’s a completely different person

She doesn’t negotiate with herself anymore about food or the gym
She doesn’t avoid the camera
She doesn’t spend weekends wishing she looked different in her outfits

And yesss, she’s 25lbs down and looks unreal. But the real win is how she FEELS

That’s what we actually work on here

Not just your body. Who you become in the process

If you’re going through the motions
If you keep talking yourself out of starting
If you know you’re capable of more but can’t seem to follow through

You’re not broken

You just need someone to help you build the structure and belief that makes it all click

A few years ago, weekends away meant guilt, bloat and starting over Monday
Now they just mean… a weekend away

We don’t overthink food anymore, we train because we enjoy it, we eat proper meals because they make us feel good, not just because we “should”

This isn’t about being perfect or tracking every calorie, it’s about building habits that hold, even when you’re not trying so hard

We’ve worked for years to get here, to have the freedom without losing the structure and it’s not luck or good genetics lol trust me

It’s consistency, standards and just doing it properly

Being in shape doesnt mean having to be in a life long deficit and dedicating your life to myfitnesspal, you CAN get to the point we’re at now, you just need to commit to the hardwork now to make that dream become a reality

Sometimes the biggest lessons come from our biggest mistakes

I used to think I knew everything about training lol turns out I was just really good at injuring myself with terrible form🤡

Now I spend my time making sure other women don’t make the same mistakes I did, because proper technique isn’t just about better results, it’s about training safely for years to come!

.16 came to us at the beginning of July with 3 goals:

1 - To know how and what to eat to fuel her body
2 - Feel more confident
3 - To gain more muscle

So we went into a deficit 🤪

Not because she was “overweight” or “out of shape” but because her goals highlighted 2 things to me.

She needed and wanted to learn more about nutrition and that was probably her biggest confidence barrier because whatever she wanted to work towards she always felt like food was the biggest hurdle in front of it.

Going into a deficit would give her the chance to learn the importance around tracking calories properly (not just a few days a week), she’d begin to understand what food actually made her feel good, rather than just eating stuff and wondering why she was suffering with bloating afterwards, and she’d build up the discipline to stick to a plan for longer than 8 weeks… really fu***ng important if your long term goal is to build muscle.

Through this deficit she’s smashed all those key points as well as dropped 10lb.

If we had thrown Lisa into a muscle building phase straight away, we would’ve sold her the biggest lie ever.

She would’ve felt like a bulk wasn’t for her, she was “broken” or just incapable and that would’ve literally boiled down to the fact that she needed to build the foundations first before jumping in the deep end.

Going from not tracking calories to suddenly having to track and eat 2000+ whilst hitting a protein goal, not knowing how to use those calories to suit her body/goals and not having a single clue about how the bulking phase actually works.

You can see why so many girls repeatedly try to build muscle and fall off track.
It’s literally because people sell you this unrealistic story of how quick and easy it is.
Like aye, it is quick and easy if you’ve been training and tracking for 5 years🤡

Now Lisa’s ready to reverse into a bulk because she’s built the foundations that will completely support her journey🤓

THAT’S what sets you up for a successful muscle building phase,
not some motivational quote about ‘consistency’ lol
Actual knowledge and knowing the importance of walking before running

Things I’d do if I wanted to f**k up my progress 🤡
Made this because I’ve done most of these myself at some point and wondered why I wasn’t getting anywhere.
It’s mad how we can sabotage ourselves without even realising it.

Changing programs because we’re bored, waiting for the “perfect time” to start or getting caught up in what everyone else is doing instead of focusing on our own journey.

The thing is, progress really does come down to the boring basics done consistently.
Not the most exciting answer, but it’s the truth.
