🏅 MEDAL MONDAY 🏅

Another brilliant weekend of racing for Macclesfield & District Triathlon Club (MAD Tri) members, with athletes in action across Cheshire and the Lake District.

🔹 Cholmondeley Castle Sprint Duathlon – Mark represented the club on Saturday with a strong performance around the stunning castle grounds.

🔹 The Lakesman – A fantastic day of racing saw:
🏆 Fiona finish 3rd overall female.
🏆 Katie claim 5th overall female.
🥇 Kevin storm to victory in his age group, winning by an incredible 10 minutes!
👏 Pippa and Matt both put in great performances.
🚴‍♂️🏊 Arran and Ollie teamed up for the relay aquabike, flying the MAD Tri colours together.

🏊 Back home in Macclesfield, members were back in the pool yesterday for our regular Sunday swim session, continuing the hard work and enjoying some quality training together.

Congratulations to everyone who raced, trained and supported over the weekend. Whether you were on the podium, chasing a PB or simply enjoying the challenge, you did the club proud! 💙💛

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

Another fantastic weekend for members of MAD Tri

On Saturday, James took on the Shropshire Standard Triathlon, while on Sunday Chris raced the UK Triathlon 150 at Shropshire.

Meanwhile, Fiona, Kate, Ellie and Ben headed to Wales for the Slateman Triathlon, with a special congratulations to Kate for winning her age group! 🥇

Further afield, Sam took on Ironman Tours Métropole, delivering a superb performance over the long-distance course. 💪

Back home in Macclesfield, we had two club rides on Saturday, with everyone who joined putting in a great effort and enjoying the sunshine and miles together. We also held our club swim session on Sunday at Kings Sports Centre, with members continuing their training and supporting each other in the pool.

A huge well done to all our members who raced, trained, rode, swam, volunteered and supported throughout the weekend. Whether you were competing, training or cheering others on, you helped make it another great weekend for MAD Tri.

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

A big congratulations to two of our members who were racing this weekend! 👏

Yin took on her very first triathlon at the stunning Blenheim Palace Triathlon. Completing your first triathlon is a huge achievement and we’re all delighted for you – well done Yin! 💪🏊🚴🏃

Andy headed north to tackle Ironman 70.3 Bolton. A brilliant effort to conquer one of the UK’s toughest middle-distance events – congratulations Andy! 🔥🏅

Well done to both of you on your achievements this weekend. Enjoy those well-earned medals! 👏

🏅 (A slightly delayed 😅) Medal Monday 🏅

Another great weekend of racing for our members! 👏

Matt and Ben headed to Manchester to take on the Great Manchester Run 10K alongside thousands of runners.

Both put in fantastic performances and represented the club brilliantly, battling their way around the iconic city-centre course and earning their well-deserved medals at the finish line. 🏅💪

Congratulations to Matt and Ben on their efforts — a superb achievement and a great way to start June! 👏

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

Another strong weekend for our members out racing! 👏

Mairi, Kev, Tao and Charles headed to Nottingham to take part in the Outlaw Triathlon weekend.

Mairi competed in the Sprint race against a very strong field and was pleased to post some fast times — great work Mairi! 💪

Charles, Kev and Tao all took on the 70.3 distance and did brilliantly. Kev finished 1st in his age group with an incredible 16-minute lead! 🥇

A special mention also goes to Tao for completing his first ever 70.3 — a fantastic achievement! 👏

Elsewhere, Michael took part in the Keswick Mountain Festival and put in a great performance in the 1500m open water swim.

We’d also like to give a shoutout to Nat, who raced last weekend and finished 3rd in his age group! 🥉

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅

This weekend saw our members take on two fantastic events!

Ben completed an incredible 180km ride in the Fred Whitton Challenge over in the Lake District — a huge effort and achievement! 👏🚴

Closer to home, several of our members took part in the Boundary Park Triathlon.

A massive well done to Affy, Pippa, Matt, Fiona, Chris, Michael, Mairi, Nikki, Oliver, Arran and James, who all raced brilliantly! 🏊🚴🏃

A special mention goes to Arran for taking 1st place — outstanding work! 🥇👏

🏅 Medal Monday 🏅
We’re back — and back with a bang 💥
This weekend in Wilmslow, 10 of our members took on a range of events including the Double Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, and Aquathlon.
🔥 Double Sprint Triathlon Arran, Fiona, Kevin, Tao and James all stepped up to the challenge — with Arran taking the overall win 👑 incredible performance!
⚡ Sprint Triathlon Mairi and Aidan both put in strong efforts over the sprint distance.
🚴‍♂️ Duathlon Mark took on the run-bike-run and delivered a solid race.
🏊‍♂️ Aquathlon Heike raced hard in the swim-run event.
🚴‍♂️ Aquabike Andrew powered through the swim-bike discipline.
A huge well done to everyone who raced — a brilliant weekend representing the club.
