Active Scoot Club
Is aimed at family's with children aged between 3 years and 9 years of age. To come along and have fun scooting, we also encourage parents to scoot with their children. Ideal fit with this age group regarding Balance Ability, Development of their Skills in line with EYFS for Developing Gross Motor Skills, Promoting a Healthy Active Life style. Working on co-ordination skills, abi

lity to take instructions, Personal, Social and Emotional development. Scooting encourages perseverance and group work, building a child's self esteem and self confidence, Playing and exploring - being willing to have a go, Initiating activities, Seeking a challenge, Showing a 'can do' attitude, Taking a risk by engaging in new experiences and learning by trial and error. Active learning - being involved and concentrating, Maintaining focus on their activity for a period of time, Scooting can use up high levels of energy, fascination, Not easily distracted. Scooting also dovetails nicely with Change 4 Life, in getting children doing something more active while having lots of fun at Active Scoot Disco's. Each of our sessions are for one hour, Banana's are available at the session, we also have stickers for them. No need to book just turn up with your Scooter and Helmet, we do have a number of Scooters and Helmets should you not have your own. Active Scoot, KS1 & KS2 benefits the whole school and is inclusive to children of all ages, skills and abilities, it can engage all children, especially those unmotivated with traditional sports.
