This evening has now got even more exciting - not only excellent training but there will be a small buffet - sandwiches and chips - for attendees. Please also see if you can donate to the Flash and Longnor CPR and Defib training as without them we wouldn’t be able to do this life saving event.

We are running a CPR and defibrillator training session in Bosley. Defibrillators are common place in communities now and knowing how to use them can truly save lives. A dear friend of mine had CPR performed on him for 15 min and then shocked twice by a defib. He is now 71 and it happened when he was 70 so he has lived a year so far longer than he would have. Experiences like that make us realise we can make such a difference. And it’s not hard or complicated. Defibs are pretty simple to use with clear verbal instructions as to what to do.

Please come along - we hope to have sandwiches and chips on the bar too.

A local really great initiative. Having a dear friend who is only still here because he collapsed and received CPR on a run, it certainly made me realise how we should all be aware of how to administer CPR and use a defibrillator. They save lives and having people around us who know how to do this creates confidence. Please attend if you can. It is so important.

The race route follows some footpaths but a lot of the race route is only open for the day of the race, but come and run the local footpaths if you want to recce the course, and enjoy the good local footpath network of challenging hills! and get a feel for the area and the challenges on the day. the...

The sweepers yesterday were assisted by the mascot for the day - Walter. He dutifully encouraged the back of the field and joined in with the boggy sections - though the photo clearly shows that the big was actually deeper than humans the tide mark was well up his chest. !!!

A brilliant event yesterday. The rain held off - other than a short sharp shower. The hills were lung busting and the wet created soft running under foot and plenty of tecnically areas to master. The buggy sections certainly were that and all trainers came back suitably muddy to mark this as a varied fell run. A great field this year with visitors from many clubs and a large contingent from Derby Sinfin running club.
As mentioned we had a short heavy shower but we also had sun and some warm weather.
Thank you to all of those who attended and supported our community. Please make a note for next year and spread the word.
