Hey everyone!
There are a few new to the page so I thought I would reintroduce myself.
My name is Angel I’m the owner of Old School Gym in Mablethorpe.
I was well known in Mablethorpe for being a gym fanatic. People would ask me where I would train to which I would respond Skegness. Every time I had this conversation peoples heart would drop as it is too far/they don’t drive. So, I decided to look into opening my own 24hr training facility.
This was a secret I had kept for a whole year, as I didn’t believe it would truly be possible. I still tried, came up with the business plan, got my pt qualifications and built up coaching experience.
I actually applied for the old school building next to the primary school (hence the name). I loved the uniqueness of the building and the memories it held and wanted to keep that as part of its charm. Nevertheless the owner decided to sell instead (what a shame about what they’ve changed it into now btw!).
So I kept searching, applied for another unit and the business loan. I didn’t hear back for a couple of months and then in the space of 2 days I got confirmation of both!
We opened in April 2024 and have been growing ever since 🥰
