On Friday, student pilot Niall Brady reached an exciting training milestone at Strubby South Airfield, completing his first full flights in the Grob G103 Twin II Acro [G-DEXA].
Flying alongside instructor Richard Walker, Niall managed the entire sortie from takeoff to landing, while also gaining valuable experience utilizing thermal lift. Having primarily trained in our Alexander Schleicher ASK 13 [G-CKJL], transitioning to the advanced capabilities of the Grob G103 allowed Niall to adapt his skills to a different airframe and develop a deeper understanding of varying aircraft handling characteristics.
We’re proud to offer our students a versatile fleet that supports their progression from fundamental training to advanced soaring. If you're ready to begin your own piloting journey at Strubby South Airfield, please get in touch!
We'd like to give a special thanks to Sam Wilson for his continued support and for capturing these fantastic photographs of our operations.
