Here at St Annes Old Links we are justly proud of our 6941 yard Par 72 Championship links course and welcome the opportunity to share it with golfers from around the world. Founded in 1901, St Annes Old Links is another of the fine championship links of England’s North West coast. The Old Links has been recently voted Number 69 in NCG top 100 Golf courses in England. Our signature 9th hole was vot

ed by Golf World in the May 2010 issue as the Top 9th Hole in Great Britain and Ireland. The great Bobby Jones is quoted as saying "it's difficult to see how you could improve on this." The true links nature of this Lancashire golf course brings golfing enthusiasts from all four corners of the UK and around the world. Golfers of all levels will be attracted to this flat but demanding course which is both traditional and historic and where the greens are renowned for speed, slickness and running true. Like all great links, the course is designed to test your patience and resilience so whether you are a budding professional or an enthusiastic beginner, we look forward to your visit.

A huge congratulations to our Junior Captain, Lukas Melling, on becoming the 2026 Ashton Trophy Champion! 🏆

The Ashton Trophy is one of the proud traditions at St Annes Old Links, awarding the champion who records the best aggregate score over 36 holes of scratch golf from our Championship Tees.

With a history of attracting some of the finest amateur golfers, the Ashton Trophy remains a prestigious test of skill, consistency and determination.

Today, we are incredibly proud to see our Junior Captain add his name to that distinguished list.

Lukas produced two superb rounds to finish with a combined score of 142 finishing 2 under par and securing the win.

A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Lukas, his family and everyone at St Annes Old Links Golf Club.

Congratulations, Lukas — a thoroughly deserved champion! 👏🏆

🏆 With just three weeks to go until the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham, excitement is building as the team prepares the Old Links for Final Qualifying on Monday the 27th of July.

We'll be welcoming some of the world's elite women golfers, all competing for their chance to secure a place in the AIG Women's Open.

It's set to be a fantastic day of world class golf, and we're looking forward to seeing the course put these talented players to the test.

👏🏽 As we reflect on yesterday's results of Final Qualifying for The Open, we remember fondly hosting this event, most recently in 2022.

Last week marked the centenary of one of golf's defining moments, when Bobby Jones won his first Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 1926 - the first of his three Claret Jugs and the beginning of one of the game's greatest legacies.

That anniversary is especially meaningful to us here at the Old Links.

During his visit to Lytham, Jones also played The Old Links and was so captivated by our iconic par-three 9th hole that he famously remarked, "It's difficult to see how you could improve on this."

More than a century later, it remains one of the finest par threes in golf.

It is a fitting reminder of the unique relationship between St Annes Old Links and Royal Lytham & St Annes - two clubs that share the same roots, a rich golfing heritage, and more than 125 years of intertwined history.

We are proud to continue that shared story by hosting Final Qualifying for the AIG Women's Open and look forward to strengthening this historic relationship for many years to come.
