Two massive games ahead this weekend for the club as the Second XI look to secure promotion against St Annes and the First XI can potentially secure their spot in Division 2 with a win.

Sunday will also feature a friendly against Euxton down at Church Road to cap off Sunday fixtures for the season.

Two crucial wins for the First & Second XI plus a seventh 5-wicket haul for our man Sahaan highlight the bank holiday weekend of cricket at LCC!

Despite rain stopping play on Saturday for the First XI, they were able to overcome Preston on Monday, chasing down 105 in a shortened fixture thanks to a Davison/Banks-Smith partnership after a shaky start.
Sub-Pro Mini Bhada stepped up with 5 wickets in Sahaan's absence.

The Second XI go one step closer to clinching promotion and remain in League title contention with a win over Fylde at home. Kyle Macaulay and James Fiddler's middle order partnership guided us to 161/6 off 30 overs. Despite rain delays, we get the job done and move on to St Annes next week.

Unfortunately it was defeat for the Academy in their final hit out for the season at Euxton. A successful year under Coach Phil Watkinson, the boys finishing 4th with 6 wins and 4 losses.

At Church Road it's the Second XI taking on Fylde in their push for promotion on Saturday and the Academy wrap up their season on Sunday on the road at Euxton.

Two defeats from the weekends action as the First XI came up short against Fleetwood and the Academy lost by 6 wickets to Torrisholme away on Sunday.

Sahaan Sahaan came agonisingly close to his maiden Lytham CC ton, batting superbly in the run chase for 98 to go with 3/74 with the ball.

Three weekends of cricket remain for the season, with important fixtures to come for both the First & Second XI, starting with Preston away for the 1's and Fylde at home for the 2's next Saturday.

A huge clash against Fleetwood for the First XI is the feature for Saturday while the Academy travel to Torrisholme on Sunday.

The first of the next generation of Lytham Mulligans represented his Under 11 interleague team on Friday.

Oliver scored his first 50 (not out) batting with maturity and sensible shot selection against a very good bowling attack!

3 wins from 4 at the weekend as the Second XI go back to top of the league with three to play, while the Third XI finish their season in style with a win over Preston on the road.

In the First XI's visit to Euxton, Sahaan Sahaan and Sabbir Patel took three each while Ben Saunders (32) and Stewart Davison (24) were amongst the runs. We unfortunately fell short by just 14 runs.

Overseas Nick Skeen (40) and Alex Yates (39*) guided the Second XI to a competitive 182/5 after George Melling and Tom Hessey got us off to a great start.
It proved to be spin to win as Chris Cartmell and Archie Jackson picked up eight wickets between them to restrict Charnock St James to 131, having been 92/1.

A 109-run Skeen-Jackson partnership was the difference against Preston in the Third XI, with Archie bringing up 54 before Skeen went on to reach 91* at the close of innings.
Chris Cartmell picking up a five-wicket haul in reply, making it 9 for the weekend. Jackson and Skeen with two each.

George Melling was the star in the Academy's win over Wyre, with an unbeaten 65, with Rupert Williams, Lewis Hogg and Thomas Parker all playing well!

Your squads for this weekend's cricket featuring all four senior sides.

The First XI travel to Euxton this afternoon, while the Second XI host Charnock St James with both teams looking to bounce back with a win.

Sunday see's the Third XI back at Preston and the Academy up against Wyre at home.
