One of our favourite things about The Big ’Un is getting to share the trails we ride all year round...

Brother HQ might only be an hour from London, but once you get out into the woods and the Kent Downs, it can feel a whole lot wilder.

The route packs in a bit of everything - champagne gravel through the pine forests, technical singletrack, quiet country lanes, bridleways and ancient pilgrimage paths. It’s varied, challenging and some of our favourite riding anywhere.

This year we’re flipping the route back to its original direction, just as we first designed it. It’ll ease you in gently before delivering a pretty serious sting in the tail - and if you’ve ridden The Big ’Un over the last couple of years, it should feel like a whole new ride.

We’ll be out tweaking and fine-tuning things over the next few weeks to make sure it’s riding at its best.

For now, here are a few photos from way back in 2021 to give you a taste of what’s in store.

The Big 'Un is back.

FIRST LOOK 👀 the new Stroma

Here's the second of our two new Stroma colours...

If you missed our previous post, head back to read a little more about the thinking behind this year's design. The same VHS-inspired graphics, colours and fluorescent branding carry across both new paint schemes, and we think they suit the Stroma pretty well!

FIRST LOOK 👀 New Mr. Wooden

It's been a while since we gave our much-loved rim brake 650B rando frame a new colour, and we're excited to finally share it with you.

Meet 'Spray Tan' – a rich metallic brown that suits Mr. Wooden down to the ground.

Frames are on their way to us now and should be landing next month.

We'll be sharing more photos and all the details next week, so keep an eye out. Pre-orders will be opening soon online and through your local Brother dealer.

FIRST LOOK 👀 The new Stroma

One of our boldest frames just got bolder.

The latest Stroma keeps the sharp geometric paint lines and fluorescent branding that have become part of its identity, but this year's designs evolve the look once again.

While working on the latest colours, we found ourselves looking back at the designs you'd find on VHS packaging throughout the '80s and '90s. The bold graphics and loud colours just felt right for the Stroma.

There's another little detail we're especially pleased with too... tucked behind the seat tube you'll find our new 'It's a Brother' icon. It's a fun nod to those classic VHS logos, and one of those details you'll only spot when you get up close.

We'll be sharing more detail shots of both new Stroma colours, along with the full story behind the design, in next week's newsletter. If you're not already signed up, now's a good time!

Now the dust has settled on Brother in the Wild Dorset, we just wanted to say one final thank you.

To everyone who bought a ticket, rode a bike, lit a campfire, cooked a meal, played music, helped a stranger fix a mechanical, volunteered their time or simply came along and made the weekend what it was.

Ten years in and we're still blown away by the community that gathers in a field on the Isle of Purbeck each spring.

We've been looking back through some of John Watson's photos from the weekend and found a few favourites that hadn't made it into our feed yet. Looking through them reminds us just how special the whole thing was.
