Friday 24th July 2026 saw Lyndhurst FC host the Ex-Saints for the fifth time – and yes, we’re starting to think they quite like visiting us (mainly because they keep winning…).
A huge thank you to everyone in our local community and beyond for your continued support in helping us raise funds for our new clubhouse project – we genuinely couldn’t do it without you.
Special thanks to Glenn Cockerill and Leroy Whale for once again bringing the Ex-Saints down to Lyndhurst and giving us a fantastic evening of football (and a very good workout).
We’d also like to thank everyone who helped before, during, and after the game – from organisers to volunteers, you were all brilliant. Big appreciation to our sponsors for contributing to the Match Day Programme, The Stag Lyndhurst for keeping players hydrated (and possibly over-hydrated), Toby Oakley for keeping the tunes going as our resident DJ, and all the match officials for keeping things in order.
It was another entertaining match, with the Ex-Saints just managing to sneak ahead for a 4–1 win – we’re calling it “a tactical decision to let them feel comfortable” and we’ll definitely get them next time… maybe.
