Huge congratulations to everyone who graded last night and this morning. You should all be proud of the effort you put in. Lessons with Sensei Brennan are always tough, as you all know, but also incredibly informative. Those are the sessions that really test us and help us grow, even if they push us well outside our comfort zones.
For Sensei Marianne, it was a milestone being able to train for a whole lesson, it was a big moment and she is very grateful for as it meant a lot to be back on the dojo floor properly alongside you all.
Gradings do not always go exactly how we want them to. Sometimes we get the result we hoped for and sometimes we do not. While that can be disappointing, those moments are often where the true discipline of karate really shines through. They make us stronger, more resilient and more determined if we choose to learn from them.
We know we repeat ourselves a lot in lessons and we know it can sometimes sound boring, but everything we say comes from a place of care and wanting the best for each of you. We want you to excel, not just in technique, but in understanding and experiencing the true benefits of karate. It is not an easy discipline, but it is a very rewarding one.
Whatever your result, please remember that we are always here for a chat. We are always happy to help you put a plan together to achieve what you want and support you on the journey to get there. Keep training, keep trusting the process and keep moving forward.
