Some serious names are heading to The Sports Ground this Friday 👀⚽

Southampton FC Legends are coming to Lymington, with Matt Le Tissier, Franny Benali, Jo Tessem and Ruben Agboola among those set to feature.

And on the Lymo side, we’ve got Sam Vokes, Dave Mills, Russell Perrett, Stuart Doling and Gemma Ritchie joining the Vets.

What a start for our U12 Gulls! 👏⚽️

A huge effort from the boys, battling right to the end and producing a brilliant second-half performance to secure a 3-2 win over Stoneham Rovers. ❤️🤍

Plenty to build on, but so many positives from the first game back. Well done, boys! 💪

What an effort from the boys today! They kept battling and fighting until the end, showing unbelievable determination.
​After a slow first half, they delivered a blinding second half with everyone giving their all. A few things for the coaches to work on, but so many positives to take away:
​Defense: Showed great resilience and shut down attacks with relentless pressing.
​Midfield: Battled their hearts out with huge tackles and grit.
​Forwards: Ran tirelessly from start to finish.
​An outstanding performance for the first game back! Well done, boys! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Proud of our Redshanks today ❤️🤍

Not the result they wanted in the County Cup, but the attitude, effort and sportsmanship were brilliant from start to finish. 👏⚽️

Heads up, boys — onto the first league game next week! 💪

⚽️ County Cup – Lymington Town FC Redshanks ❤️🤍

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for today as the Redshanks took on Newport (IOW) in the County Cup, but the boys can certainly hold their heads high! 👏

They never gave up and kept battling right until the final whistle. We managed to get the ball into the opposition area, but Newport were quick to shut us down and made it difficult for us to create those final chances.

What really stood out today was the attitude of the boys. Even though they were behind, they continued to play, work hard and, most importantly, enjoyed themselves. Most of them came off the pitch smiling, joking with each other 😁⚽️

And fair play to Newport — they were equally gracious in victory. 🤝 The attitude and sportsmanship from both teams was brilliant, which is exactly what youth football should be about. ❤️

Hopefully next week brings a better result as we kick off our first league match of the season! 🤞

A fantastic 6-3 win over Winton United in their first competitive 11-a-side game, while also stepping up an age group. ⚽️

Some really impressive football on display — well done, boys! 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

Really impressive performance in our first competitive game at 11-aside, jumping up an age group.

Despite the size difference, the boys dominated the game throughout with the majority of possession, creating lots of chances.

What a comeback from our U15 JPL! 👏⚽️

2-0 down with 11 minutes to go, back to 2-2 in the final minute, then through 6-5 on penalties in the Hampshire Cup! ❤️🤍

Huge credit to the boys for battling right to the end — and a special shoutout to Osh with 3 big saves in the shootout! 🧤🔥

Lymington win 6-5 on pens

So we scrape through to the next round of the Hampshire cup with a penalty shootout win against east lodge in Pompey.

we won it ugly but the main thing is we won. We have had a habit in pre season of being in the game until late on but after conceding going on to concede more and ultimately losing games.. yesterday we were 2 down with 11 minutes to go and battled to get it back to 2-2 in the last minute, we threw everything at them and it paid off so all credit to the boys.

It would have been awful to lose on penalties after that but the boys stepped up to see us through and some of the boys that didn't want to take one stepped up so all credit again.

A big shout out to Osh for 3 big saves in the shootout winning it for us

Will be hoping for a home tie in the next round and a nice run in the Hampshire cup .

A fantastic afternoon for the Lymington Town FC U13 Buzzards as they welcomed Hythe & Dibden Youth U13 Dragons to Woodside Park for a pre-season friendly. 🔴⚪️

The boys put in a brilliant team performance from start to finish, showing great energy, teamwork and some excellent football. Plenty of chances created, great finishing and a solid defensive display made for a very positive outing. 👏⚽️

Lots of positives to take from the game as we continue preparing for the new season. 💪

A big thank you to Hythe & Dibden Youth U13 Dragons for a great friendly and for making the trip to Woodside Park. 🤝
