It’s been a week since you turned one my sweet girl and I still can’t believe you’ve hit that milestone already.
It is the greatest honour and privilege to get to be your mummy and watch you grow into the kind, joyful and cheeky girl you are.
Motherhood has taught me many things, some days it has felt harder than ever before and over and over I have doubted my ability. Yet you show me time and time again that somehow I’m getting it right.
I don’t know if you’ll ever truly understand how much I love you and how proud I am to call you mine.
Happy birthday Bonnie girl 💗

Thank you Charlotte 💗

And if anyone is looking for dog walking or care then Charlotte is your girl! She’s just the kindest soul 💕

🐾As a small business I know how important it is support other local businesses. So today I wanted to highlight 2 amazing ladies who I feel deserve a mention:

Hannah at Hannah Bimpson Yoga is just such an incredible yoga teacher, if you are looking for a yoga class please check out her page!

And

Audrey at ‘Animal Chiropractor Magic’ she really does work wonders with both humans and animals.

These ladies continue to keep my body in check (after all the tugging, launching on leads and the occasional fall to the floor because of the shear strength of some of the dogs 😂)

Also girl boss power ✌️🌸

March 2026 you have been full on!

Officially became homeowners, packed up and moved out the flat, and got stuck in to renovating the house all whilst starting back with some work and running round after Bonnie! Who does not stay still unless she’s asleep 😅

We’ve hardly had a moment to breathe but we are extremely lucky and incredibly grateful to have our amazing village around us who have helped us out so much! 💕

We said goodbye to Flat 3 at the end of the month, it’s seen a mix of highs and lows over the years, but it was an emotional goodbye to our first home as a couple and the first home for our baby girl.

But now onto the next chapter, our first family home 💗
There’s still much to be done 🙈 So if you see me, I will no doubt look a complete mess and like I haven’t slept for 7 months! (I actually haven’t )

But my heart feels very full, and the current chaos is just leading to a whole lot of joy 🥰

I don’t particularly buy in to fresh starts in the New Year, I believe it’s a time we want to embrace the slow and quiet days and nurture our energy, but January 1st feels particularly poignant this year.

2025 was wonderful in so many ways. I found out I was pregnant days before the year began, and after loving my pregnancy we welcomed our beautiful daughter on the 30th of August. Her arrival is the best and most monumental moment of my life yet.

But the start of our Bonnie’s life has had some challenges. A difficult delivery ended up with them fracturing her leg and the break not actually being discovered until she was 5 days old after us insisting something wasn’t right. Then only 10 days after her cast was removed she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and put into the pavlik harness 24/7 for six weeks. After those first six weeks we were able to slowly start weaning her out of the harness, which was both a joy and daily battle when putting it back on.

Now, after thirteen weeks in total, New Year’s Day is the first day our girl gets to be completely harness free. A fresh start, the start we had wanted and didn’t quite get when she was born.

So this year, January 1st feels like a day to celebrate and to look forward to all the joy we’ve got to come with our happy girl.

Although it’s been incredibly hard some days, I know we are only dealt the things we can cope with and that this will make all of us stronger. Bonnie is already such a brave girl and I’ve no doubt she’s going to take on the world ✨

2025 made me a mummy and showed me a love more powerful than I could ever have imagined, but we’re so ready for our next chapter to begin.

It feels like the countdown is officially on!

There’s only 5 and a half weeks left before I go on maternity leave which is wild. I’m planning 🤞🏻 to teach until the middle of August, all being well, and it would be so wonderful to share space with you over the next few weeks before I take a break for a while.

I know it’s the time of year that people are busy, on holiday, or just out enjoying the sunshine, but if you’d like to practice with me a few more times before my fab team take over, I’d absolutely love to see you 💕

I’m still running my usual class schedule, see below, and you can book your space at hbystudio.com or via the link in my bio. There’s just enough time to get one more 5 class pass in before I finish! 😝

Hope to see you on the mat soon ✨

Happy summer solstice and international yoga day!
It’s always a beautiful day with gorgeous energy and we couldn’t have asked for it to be more perfect with this glorious sunshine ☀️

I’m not going to pretend I spent my day fully connected or doing solstice rituals, it’s been a busy day of working instead, but I hope to find some time tomorrow to ground and connect if only for a few moments.

What I will say is that I’m so grateful to the practice of yoga. It has helped to shape me into the person that I am today, many times over it’s saved me, it’s healed me, and it’s given me the space to know my true self. And now it’s helping me to navigate this wild but wonderful journey to motherhood 💕

Thank you to each and everyone of you that let me share this practice with you, it’s always an honour ✨

So… part two!

‘Listen to your body’ and ‘be kind to yourself’ are phrases that can be thrown about a lot, especially in yoga, but often not explained in detail or given reasoning behind the choice of words. (I have 100% done this myself!)
I think a lot of people instantly associate these with going easy on themselves or simply putting in less effort. Sometimes this is exactly what we need, see previous post, but I think we often forget that we might be craving something else.

What if listening to your bodies needs can also mean pushing yourself to move deeper, work harder, run faster because being kind to yourself is strengthening your body.
What if it’s getting up off the sofa and moving because you’ve spent too long in the same position.
Maybe it’s choosing the nutrient dense meal because your body needs nourishment.
Or switching up your work space or going for a walk on your lunch break rather than sitting down.
What if it’s any form of movement that makes you sweat and gives you that endorphin rush.
Perhaps it’s reading a book over another tv series.
Or spending time with friends or loved ones to connect and share.
What if it’s learning something new!

It doesn’t have to be high intensity and it’s certainly not to fit into the picture perfect image we see over and over on social media, but because our bodies crave being strong and healthy! Our minds want to learn and be challenged. We have the capacity to do so much, and be so much more than just the label on our heads, but sometimes WE are what’s getting in our own way! WE are our own worst enemy!

These things are just as important, maybe more important, than the slowing down. Because it’s not always about stopping, it’s just about switching up the routine! Making the most of those moments you’re not working or food shopping.
It’s about finding joy in diversity and nourishment for your mind, body and soul.

**Read that last sentence again!!**

So next time you take a moment to listen to your body, when you might be feeling tired and run down, be sure to consider all your options. Yes, you might want - and need - to simply do nothing. Or maybe it’s that you need to do one of the above 💕
