Wow! RS21 UK & Ireland Class Act 2 of this years series completed and a great weekend was had by all at Hayling Island Sailing Club.

More competition & solid results over the 3 days (with one howler) up with the leading pack! Marked improvement and a satisfactory 4th overall nibbling at no 3. Close to getting the bullet in race 7!

Big thanks to Sparks Marina for the Rockstar pontoon launching and to the Square Rigger restaurant for keeping us fed and watered!

Well done to RS Sailing for the Saturday night party!!

Well Act 1 is complete and the Vengabus is parked up. A tough shifty breeze on final day with any one of 4 boats in contention for the win with the last 3 of 8 races to be sailed. In the end we had to settle for 3rd place after a blinding performance by Philip Bendon’s team getting two bullets and Nick Redding’s team finding the best of the breeze downwind. Well done to all the competitors and especially the Sea Cadets who in race 1 dropped the kite at the gate after us - and we thought we were late. Well done to all the team RS Ben Rolfe Richard Watsham Peter Chaplin and super Saturday sub Alaric. And remember it’s always 5 O clock Somewhere!
