We’re racing! The Solent delivers yet again but these incredible boats are so special. We’ve seen thousands of yachts and dinghies sailing these waters over the years but it’s quite emotional having the 6-Metres sailing on our course with our Club!

The weather isn’t being kind today so these beautiful yachts are staying safely moored for the afternoon. They are attracting admiring glances along the pontoon while their sailors enjoy some hospitality ashore. Forecast looks ideal tomorrow so watch out for some spectacular racing in the Western Solent later!

If you notice some rather grand yachts on the road or parked in Lymington today, this is the International 6-Metre class making their way to LTSC for the British Championships starting tomorrow! We look forward to welcoming you all!

Last Friday, we drank tea and ate lots of cakes to raise money for Breast Cancer Now! A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our annual Breast Cancer Now Charity Afternoon Tea and all those who made the delicious homemade cakes to donate to the charity sale table at the afternoon tea, we are very grateful to you. We are delighted that all the proceeds from the cake sales and 50% from the entry fees will be donated direct to the charity to support this wonderful cause and the amount raised was just over £200. Join us for an informal get together in the Solent Room for a mid-week Autumn Harvest Ladies Lunch with a delicious two course lunch. Joining us will be Casey Spry, Marine Engagement Officer at the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust who will give a talk about their marine restoration work and local initiative, the Solent Seascape Project.
