🏆⛵ Nordic Folkboat Nationals 2026 ⛵🏆

What a weekend of fantastic racing in Christchurch Bay as the Royal Lymington Yacht Club hosted the Nordic Folkboat Nationals 2026.

After five closely contested races, congratulations go to our overall podium finishers:

🥈 GYBE ‘N’ (669) – Cy Grisley (Keyhaven YC / LTSC)
🥉 CRACKERJACK (718) – Stuart Watson (RLymYC)

A huge thank you to all the competitors who travelled to Lymington, and to our incredible race management team and volunteers who made the event possible. We hope everyone enjoyed a brilliant championship both on and off the water.

🏆 RS Tera Nationals 2026 – Club Trophy Winners! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our 13 RLymYC sailors who travelled to Plas Heli, Pwllheli, for the RS Tera Nationals over the May half term, joining more than 100 competitors from across the UK.

Three action-packed days of racing in 15–20 knots and rolling waves saw the Sport Fleet complete 10 races and the Pro Fleet 11 races, with some incredibly close racing throughout the fleet.

Despite a challenging final day, Team Lymington delivered outstanding performances, including four top-10 finishes:

9th – Edward Knowles
25th - Lachlan Walker

⭐ Sport Fleet
4th – Bora Carrington
9th – Louis Rumboll

Special mentions also to Lucas Hill (11th), Kaya Carrington (13th), Henry Cottam (24th), Jasmine Gambi (35th), Daniel Ma (37th), and our Regatta Fleet sailors Hugo Carpenter, Ellie Ma and Muireann Walker, who all showed fantastic progress and enthusiasm throughout the event.

The combined efforts of every sailor earned Royal Lymington Yacht Club the RS Tera Nationals Club Trophy 🏆 – our second club trophy of the season!
A massive thank you to all the parents who made the long journey, battled the heat, hail, lightning and storms, and supported the team every step of the way.

A Royal Lymington Yacht Club sailor is set for the opportunity of a lifetime after being selected to race in the Youth America’s Cup, joining an elite British sailing squad preparing for one of the sport’s most prestigious events ⛵

Huge congratulations to Club Member .webb.sailing on being confirmed as part of the Race Crew for the 38th Preliminary Regatta in Sardinia. 👏⛵️

A fantastic achievement and brilliant to see one of our own involved at such an exciting level of the sport. We’ll be following the team’s progress with great interest and wish Sam and the Athena Pathway crew the very best for the regatta ahead.

⛵️ Eric Twiname Junior Championships 2026 ⛵️

A fantastic weekend for our Lymington sailors at the 38th Eric Twiname 3-Day Event at Rutland Sailing Club, with 250 young sailors competing from across the UK!
Light and shifty conditions made for a challenging regatta, but our sailors showed brilliant resilience, focus and determination throughout 💪🌬️
