Here’s a painting I did of the start of the 2017 Lyme Regis Regatta, as a present for the Sailing Club LRSC.

Took me a while this one due to the amount “going on”, and I hoped to portray the sense of busyness and jostling for positions at the start of a sailing race.

It’s been kept under wraps until tonight, where it was presented to the commodore.

My Grandad was also Commodore in the past, so it’s a great honour to have my work displayed in such a thriving sailing club. 😊

Here is our racing area from the top of Golden Cap (191 metres above sea level, and due East from Lyme Harbour). Oxygen masks are not needed although it is the highest point on the South Coast of England.
