Lyme Regis Sailing Club Ltd

Lyme Regis Sailing Club Ltd Lyme Regis Sailing Club is situated at the heart of the world famous Cobb harbour. The Club is open to all who desire to sail or have an interest sailing.

Lyme Regis Sailing Club was formed in 1921 by a small group of sailing enthusiasts with the object of encouraging amateur sailing. It is situated next to the harbour at the foot of Cobb Hill. The well equipped clubhouse has a bar, galley, male and female changing facilities with showers, and a sun deck which overlooks the harbour and sea. The small harbour, offering shelter for both yachts and fis

hing boats. The harbour itself dries out at low water, but it's shallow and shelving, offering hard standing that is ideal for launching and recovering boats. The Club is open to all who desire to sail or who have an interest in the sport. Currently it does not have a waiting list, as do some clubs, and presently has over 400 members. There are various categories of membership with price concessions for juniors and family/ group discounts; temporary membership is available for visitors.

Just a week to go until the Lyme Regis branch of Surfers Against Sewage Paddleout protest here in Lyme Regis on 16th May at 1130. One of around 50 events across the UK, bringing communities together to stand up against pollution in our rivers, lakes and seas. If you don't have a board, don't worry, just come and splash about, "paddle" or just wave your placards from the beach. See you there 🏊‍♀️🏄‍♀️

Race 5 of the Spring series nearly didn’t happen but Race Officer Simon Hussen demonstrated good judgment by patiently waiting for the breeze to fill in and the fleet were rewarded by a solid force 4. The race was won by Ed Stubbs 29er with Ed swapping from the helm to crew for a friend. Tom Rawlings pushed him close in an IlCA 7 with his brother Oli was 3rd in an ILCA 6. Great to see the the youth of the club showing the more experienced members the way around the course: results here: https://halsail-1e484.kxcdn.com/Result/Public/95130
