It's that time of year again! What are your fitness goals for 2023 and why use a personal trainer as opposed to a gym?
Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, improve your cardiovascular fitness, increase your overall strength, feel more confident, be more flexible, improve your balance or gain muscle mass. Any, or all of the above are great fitness goals but generally trying to do these on your own or even going to a gym, ends in quitting after a few weeks or months.
If you have a personal trainer(preferably me obviously but any good one πŸ˜… ) they'll discuss your specific goals, measure and track them as you progress, keep you motivated, keep it fun, train you safely and with good form, look at your nutrition and how important this is, try and change bad habits but without stopping everything you love, refer you to a GP if required.

Did you know the typical gym membership model is based on customers joining in January and then not actually using the gym but still paying for it? Various numbers and statistics are out there but generally 50% of everyone who joins a gym stops going completely after 6 months but continues to pay the membership! Crazy eh??

Starting with a Personal Trainer can be daunting, I understand that. Please don't worry though, this is proper personal training, just you and me, no busy gym, no one judging. I'll come to you, we'll chat for 45 minutes or so about your fitness goals, weight loss goals, do you want to improve general health or wellbeing, get fitter, get stronger, lower your blood pressure maybe you feel down or fed up, want to gain in confidence or simply want some nutrition advice. I'll give you some advice for free and of course if you want to continue with personal training with me then that's great, we'll work on a programme to meet your goals. I'll take your weights and measures at the next session, and we'll monitor these every few weeks to make sure you're on track.
