Beginners Front Crawl Workshop.
Tuesday 9th December 9am to 11am at Newlands pool in Charmouth.
If you've ever wanted to swim front crawl or can only swim a few strokes and then struggle with your breathing, then this 2 hour workshop is for you. Places limited to just 6 swimmers.
Price is £60 per person, includes coaching by me, video feedback with notes and the use of the fab sauna and hot tub and the outside pool (if you're brave enough)🥶

Back from an amazing few days in Nerja, Spain.
Lyme's a bit cooler but still really nice and some good visibility at the moment and so beautiful and flat this morning 😁🏊🏼‍♂️

If you have had Covid in the three months before swimming and have been hospitalised or required oxygen please consult your doctor to confirm you are fit to swim and you will have needed to have swum at least 2k in open water before taking part.

Lyme locals you're probably all aware we have the seal making a regular appearance , with some experiences nicer than others. He does just want to play and yes it is his environment in which we're swimming .... However, I'm genuinely concerned that if it decides to "play" or nip someone who's out of their depth or a child, it could have a really bad outcome. This isn't even if you're confident swimmer or not. I am, but when it bit me a couple of weeks ago I checked my Strava and my heart rate really spiked 😱😅
I've asked the Harbour Master for some signage on Sandy Beach and Cobb Gate. In the meantime I'd just advise if you encounter the seal, try and stay calm but most importantly stay within your depth and parallel to the shore and just get out of the water.
And of course why not explore some different swim spots maybe but be aware of the local sea conditions.
I went to Monmouth Beach this morning and had a great swim.
