Thank you to everyone that came today for the opening of the Green.

Thank you to Lydney’s town Mayor Tasha, for opening the Green by bowling the first wood in our 100 year celebration year.
Plus Debbie and Jules from Great Oaks Hospice, who are our chosen charity.

THE NEW SEASON STARTS
We have our new kit to take the club into the new season and into its second century.
We welcomed the mayor of Lydney to the club to bowl the first bowl to our golden jack followed by a spider in aid of our chosen charity Great Oaks Hospice.
This was followed by a short game after which we retreated to the clubhouse to get out of the somewhat cold wind for refreshments.

Our season starts on the 11th of April at 2.00pm, jack here is waiting to be rolled to get us going into our centenary ...

As you can see we're entering our centenary year. Does anybody have any old images of Lydney Bowling Club especially when the green was behind the Feathers Hotel and of the recent green which opened in the early 1950s
The idea is create a history board for display in the club this year. Also if anybody had family members who were players at the club. Especially founders family.
