The 1s came out firing scoring within 20 seconds with a Sam Dowle goal. With 2 goals from Bailey James and a Sam Williams finish the boys went in at half time 4-1 up.

Frampton came out for the second half with some fresh legs and gave us all sort of problems. Pulling 3 goals back making it 4-4 with 15 to go. Kicking into gear a Kieran James goal put us 5-4 up. Under pressure with 10 to go Frampton found a way and made it 5-5.

A point away from home will go down nicely but gutted not to walk away with 3.

The reserve teams first game of the season turned out to be a cracker and a great effort from all 16 involved not just the starting 11. The game could of gone either way in the first 20 minutes. Player manager Carl James opened up the scoring to make it 1-0 then a Ronaldinho esque finish (v Chelsea) from Callum Parker made it 2-0. A decent team talk at halftime ensured the players 2-0 wasn't enough and to keep up the mentality from the first half,

Second half a free kick again from Carl James made it 3-0.

Milkwall got one back out of something and nothing but didn't worry the lads as Carl James raced through for his hat-trick followed 5 minutes later with a great finish from Christian Cox resulting in a 5-1 win

A great start to the season for the reserves and on to next week.

🔴⚫️THIS WEEKENDS FIXTURES 🔵⚫️

This Saturday our 1s travel to the other side of the river to face Frampton United Reserves for match day 5 of the Northen Senior League 2. Looking to get back on track after narrowly losing last time out.

The 2s start off their North Glos Div 2 campaign at home to Milkwall. Starting off pre-season with some good game time and narrowly missing out in progressing to the semi finals of the cup the boys go into this one full of confidence.

The Dug Out Cafe will be open from 2pm (Blakeney village hall) for all refreshments you need. 🍰🧋

The lads get back to it tonight. Warming up for a busy weekend of fixtures.

Game day 5 for the 1s in the Northern Senior 2.

Opening league game for our 2s in North Glos Div 2.

🔴⚫️THIS WEEKEND🔵⚫️

This weekend is a different one. With no games scheduled the boys swap lacing up the boots for racing plastic ducks.

This Saturday sees the annual duck race take place down at the Butts.

Gates open at 1pm. Great family day out. Would be great to see you all there. 🐥

The lads battled well away from home up at Hartpury University.

A 47 second penalty opened the scoring for The Blake with Bailey James slotted it home. 15 minutes later we doubled the lead with an edge of the box curler from Kieren James.

Painswick equalised on the brink of half time entering the break at 2-1.

The second half started with another quick penalty from Bailey James. 3-1

A lack of concentration in the last 20. This resulted in a 4-3 loss in the end.

A lesson learnt in a goal thrilling game.

This weekend the 1s travel up to Hartpury University to face Painswick in Northen Senior 2. Cracking start to the season with 7 points out of a possible 9.

A full strength squad available again, the boys travel with confidence.
