It's that time again!

Off to Three Sisters today for round 6 of the FAB-Racing championship! Only 170 mile drive each way this time, practically local! :D

Can't wait to see the Paddock Fam and get stuck in again, it's been non stop practice on the Metrakit since Rowrah so hopefully we'll make a good show of it!!

The mechanic will be solo with me, as mum and sis can't make it until Friday night. Wish him luck!

Practice Day at Kinsham Raceway !! Big sis joined us today on her Ohvale and loved it even though very wobbly to start with but we all start somewhere!

Weather turned out better than expected but still a bit damp, we only took the "big bike" and we're getting much faster on the metrakit so times are coming down! The gearbox was in danger a few times thoigh!!! The Izzys loved their new Ohvales and were smashing it!!

Track time with the besties, what can beat it?

We watched Annabelle McCarthy Racing racing in the 24h for part of the drive up, this is girl awesome!!

What a weekend!

Saturday started with a big disappointment. Race control suggested I get more practice on the Metrakit before racing it in anger, particularly on such a fast grid. We’ve therefore decided to get some extra practice at Kinsham this month and make our Metrakit race debut at Three Sisters instead.

That left us free to concentrate on the Mini and my first weekend in the new Inters class. The pace was seriously fast! After finishing regularly inside the top 10 in Rookies, I knew moving up alongside some familiar riders would be a big step. The quality and speed of these young racers is incredible.

The bike received some very rapid upgrades, with work still happening on Friday morning, but everything came together and it was ready to race.

Qualifying didn’t go brilliantly, but I wasn’t last: 12th out of 13!

Race 1: A very poor start left me battling between 11th and 13th throughout the race. I eventually finished 13th, possibly our first-ever last-place finish. Despite that, it was brilliant fun and I learned so much.

Race 2: A much better start and another close battle at the back. With three laps remaining, I was clipped by one of the front-runners and came off. I got straight back on, pushed hard and set my fastest laps of the weekend while chasing the riders ahead. I nearly caught one on the line but had to settle for 12th.

Race 3: Another close race, this time battling with Izzy. I managed to keep her behind me for most of it, but a small mistake gave her the opportunity to get past. I crossed the line 13th, although the official result was later updated to 12th.

Before Race 2, I complained to the head mechanic that the bike wasn’t pulling properly. We carried out compression and pressure tests and discovered a leak somewhere in the engine.

There wasn’t anything we could do at the circuit, as finding and repairing it means splitting the engine cases. That was the final straw for the head mechanic! The engine is now with an expert for a bottom-end refresh, as we have no idea when it was last rebuilt. They’ll also double-check all the work we’ve completed ourselves. We’re certainly not experts and have mostly muddled through with help from Google, AI and WhatsApp!

Hopefully, we’ll have the engine back in time for one or two sessions at Kinsham, but it will definitely be ready for Three Sisters.

A massive shout-out to Austin Racing. He rode incredibly well, and we couldn’t be happier for him and the whole team!

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend at one of the prettiest and friendliest circuits on the calendar, helped by some lovely weather.

Now it’s time for weekly practice on the Metrakit. I’ll be back and ready to battle at Three Sisters!

Today definitely didn’t go to plan… 😅🏍️

Out on the Inters bike and things were going great… then BOOM 💥 — a big crash with Keeley! Honestly, I still don’t know how she stayed on the bike… good girl! ❤️😂 A proper tumble meant I couldn’t go back out, and to top it off, I’d lost a spacer.

Anyway… onto the Metrakit.

First time out on it, so I was taking it nice and slow and steady. Then the vibrations moved the transponder, which meant I had no steering 😳… and yep, head-on into the crash barrier! Not exactly the start I was hoping for!

Brushed myself off, got my head back in the game and went back out for more practice.

The Inters started getting quicker and quicker, and I was feeling happier and more confident again. Then it was back onto the Metrakit. I was definitely worried and stressed after the earlier crash, but I knew I was out there to learn… and learn I did!

Lap by lap, I got better, more comfortable and more confident. 🏍️💨

So much so… I’M OFF TO RACE IT TOMORROW! 🔥🏁

What a day of ups, downs, crashes, nerves and learning — but that’s racing!

🚗💨 And we’re off!

The journey has officially begun! 🏁 Heading north and making our way to Cumbria Kart Racing Club. 🏎️🔥

A few hours on the road, plenty of excitement ahead, and hopefully some fast laps when we arrive! 😎

What a mixed bag of a weekend—and yet more riding! This whole summer has been an endless parade of racing… and it’s been AWESOME! 🏍️💨

We started at Thruxton on the R&G stand, spreading the word about Grassroots to Grand Prix and helping more young people discover how to get into motorcycle racing. We had loads of interest and gained lots of new followers, which we’re incredibly grateful for!
There’s still plenty more to be done, though, awareness of how to enter the sport simply isn’t where it needs to be—but we’ll keep working to change that. The appetite is definately there, we just need the entry points and to make people aware of them!!

Thruxton was also a bit special because I met one of my heroes, Chloe Jones Racing, and was formally invited to become an ambassador for Haus of Haus Of Moto, I GOT GOODIES!! We need more girls racing!! (See prior post)

From there, we headed “Up t' north” for the monthly Stretton Summer Series. Sorry guys, I’m from Wiltshire, so even the Midlands counts as "Up t' north"! 😂

Practice and Qualifying was a mixed bag: 7th on the Mini, but a brilliant 4th on the JSM! Even though it's brakes did bind up, we found the issue though and the bike was all ready to go back out for Race 1 of the JSM..

There wasn’t much movement from the grid in Race 1 of the mini's so I finished 7th.

Unfortunately, that’s where the racing ended. A rider came off during the following seniors’ race and, because of the delay in getting an ambulance to the circuit, the rest of the event was understandably cancelled.

We got some practice in and I got my times down a little more, but these things can't be helped! Most importantly, we’re relieved to hear that he’s healthy and well.

So, the short version: I met some heroes, became an ambassador and didn’t do too badly in my races! 😁
Onwards and upwards—to Paella (YUMMY), my Metrakit (SPOILER ALERT) and Rowrah next week! 🏁

There are moments that mean so much more than just a photograph. 💙🏁

Today, Immy got to meet someone she has looked up to and who inspires her massively — Chloe Jones. 🏍️✨

For Immy, this wasn’t just meeting an idol… it was meeting someone who represents what she dreams of becoming. Watching strong, talented women chase their dreams, compete, push boundaries and make their mark in motorsport is exactly the kind of inspiration that makes young girls believe, “Maybe I can do that too.” ❤️

Women inspiring women. Girls supporting girls. Dreams becoming goals. 🏆

Immy would love nothing more than to follow in Chloe’s footsteps one day and create her own journey in racing. Meeting her idol today has made that dream feel just a little bit closer. 🥹
