The dugout canoe discovered most recently in a lake is believed to be the earliest direct evidence of water transportation used by native tribes in the Great Lakes region.

Made it to Baker Pond campsite yesterday. Sunglasses suck, at this temp the lenses got frost making it impossible to see anything. Totally forgot my goggles. Stopped for a quick fuel break and at -20 my water bottle lid was frozen. It was a rooky mistake, I forgot to put it upside down in the insulated bottle pouch. So, I whipped out the sven saw, bushcraft knife and mini-mors pot. In no time I had melted snow for a drink and defrosted the lid....to be honest an isopropane fueled stove would have been so much more efficient. But, this felt more 'authentic'. Mini adventure.

If you are wondering why we've been so quiet. It's not just that life is keeping us busy.... but, from an IT perspective, we just can't seem to catch a break.

The New England Bushcraft website got hacked about 2 years ago. We lost all control of our email account and have been trying to get that back. We were able to regain control of the website - only to get it taken over again a few weeks later. This repeats on roughly a monthly basis.

This has been an ongoing issue for about 2 years. I go through hoops for a number of security updates and they somehow brute force access over and over.

At least this time GoDaddy is doing something about it.
