I know how hard it is to try and stay consistent with exercise during the six week holidays. The routine disappears, the kids are home, days look different, you’re still trying work full time - it is WILD! Before you know it, 6 weeks has passed and you’ve not been able to find any time for yourself.

Introducing… my Six Week Summer Strength programme.

It’s returning this July to help busy mums start active, feel stronger, and most importantly make time for themselves throughout the summer holidays.

No hours being spent in the gym, no complicated exercise, just simple effective home workouts that fit around your life.

If you’d like early access before doors officially open, comment “SUMMER” below and I’ll send you the details ☀️

Something exciting is coming for summer!!

Yes - I am starting to freak out about the summer holiday already, and I know I can’t be the only one.

I LOVE having a break from the morning kids logistics, feeling like I’m in no rush to get everyone dressed or barking orders at everyone to get their shoes on… but that said, i think it’s so important to try and keep some form of structure and routine so you get little pockets of time for yourself.

For me, being able to find 30 minutes twice a week for me to exercise and clear my head, helps me deal with the picnic making, day tripping and snack requests so much better.

When your job expects you to continue as normal even though you’ve got a lot more going on at home, being able to workout in the comfort of your own home can be so much easier - and you can still achieve brilliant results!

That’s why the six week summer strength programme is coming BACK! A home based programme for you to follow that works with your week and easily flexed.

Mums - we are productivity queens! If you start introducing 2 x workouts a week that a short, simple and easy to follow when you are at your busiest! Think about how much easier it’ll feel when everyone is back in childcare establishments.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information being revealed this week! 👀

UNHINGED JOSIE IS 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🔔🔔🔔‼️‼️

Wow - first week back with kids at school has been HARD! lots of personal drama this week but the highlight was locking my own keys in the car 🥲🥲🫣🫣 (lucky no kids were in there - wait, is that lucky? Jokes jokes 👀)

Anyway - if your a personal trainer or online coach that likes to present themselves to clients as an all zen Buddhist spiritual gentle parent mum - then you are not the coach for me 🤣

Showing my clients how I navigate life whilst being on the edge is what actually helpful… especially when you’re a parent! Training consistently and eating well makes me feel so much better about the chaos around me and that’s what I like to show my clients 💪

enjoying a break from marathon training 🏃‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️

it’s so nice having some time to train to how I feel, rather than following a strict plan at the moment - and that is coming from someone who absolutely loves structure and routine! the sunnier days have definitely helped too.

I’m taking the opportunity to try and learn some new things too.

I’ve started having some swimming lessons because I’m not very water confident and never learnt to front crawl as a kid. Plus seeing Joe do his triathlon made me think - if he can do it, surely I can do? (Don’t worry no 70.3 happening here!)

I’ve also never been that confident on a road bike either - riding on roads makes me feel nervous, and going downhill too! But the more I do it the more confident I’m feeling.

Whilst I’m not new to running or training in a gym, trying these new things has made me realise how daunting, scary and nerve racking it can feel pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone (especially swimming lessons when I’m learning alongside a family public swim session 😂)

So if any of you are thinking of trying something new - JUST DO IT! better to try it and not enjoy it, then sit there wondering WHAT IF!

Plus we can’t let these men dominate these sports forever can we? 🫣👀

Girls… can we just talk about calorie counting for a sec??

Can we please stop acting like calorie counting automatically means someone is “obsessed” or “unhealthy”?

For a lot of people, it’s simply a tool. A way to learn more about nutrition, build awareness around habits, lose weight, gain confidence, fuel performance or feel better in themselves.

You don’t have to do it yourself… but mocking your friends who are trying to make a positive change for themselves isn’t very friendly at all.

Support doesn’t have to mean fully understanding someone’s choices. Sometimes it just means respecting that they’re trying to make positive changes for themselves.

Comments like: “Just live a little” “That’s too restrictive”“One takeaway won’t hurt”…usually say more about other people’s relationship with food than the person doing the tracking 👀🫣

If your friend is trying to better themselves in a healthy way - cheer them on ❤️

And remember, counting your calories isn’t forever, it’s a temporary phase to lose fat and educate yourself 🫶

I had a conversation with a client recently about goals… and here’s why goals are great to get you started, but they’re not the all singing all dancing end point they’re made out to be. It also helps explain why people might feel a bit lost or confused after hitting a big personal goal.

The hard truth is that if you really want health and fitness to be a priority for you long term - it has to become part of who you are. When identity conflicts with what your actions are - that’s when it’s hard to see and feel progress.

Making sure health and fitness is part of who you are, and you’re in an environment which supports and encourages your actions is the real secret to sticking to a plan long term 🤫
