Strength isn’t just about muscle. It’s mobility. Control. Stability.

After years of not looking after myself I now make sure I give my self some form of movement. The older I get, the more that has started to focus on strength and mobility training.

Also, mace movements are just cool as fu*k.

Mace training challenges shoulder stability, upper back strength, coordination, mobility, and control all at once.

It doesn’t always need heavy weight to be effective. Sometimes better movement is the goal.
Strong isn’t just how much you can lift.
Strong is moving well, staying mobile, and keeping your body capable long term.

1st Time Deadlifting 💪

Trying new exercises can be intimidating. Especially strength exercises like deadlifts. They're a big movement with big weight.

Normally people wonder if they can do it. Doubt their abilities. It's a common feeling.

But this is why training around good people matters.

Encouragement matters. Support matters.
Having people around you that want to see you do well matters.

Because sometimes all someone needs is a bit of confidence to realise they’re capable of more than they thought. 💪

This clip is from our Strength Outdoor Bootcamp. It shows a client deakfting for the first time and smashing it 💪

I've witnessed her progress, grow and develop in confidence. Busy gyms can be intimidating, training outdoors in my experience makes it a more pleasant experience for those starting out.

You then start loving the process of being and training outside, it feels natural, as does a deadlift. 💪

What fault can you see with my form?

Sled pulls are an exercise many people are missing out on.

Weighted sled drags (also known as sled pulls) build strength and conditioning.

You’re training your legs, core, and upper body all at once.

Compared to a barbell squat it's more low impact.
Squats are great for building strength under load,
but they put pressure through your spine and joints.

Sled pulls and lower impact. Meaning less spinal stress which makes them easier to recover from. I 100% find this is the case and the older I get the more I prefer them.

Form issue? I'm leaning too far back. Is it a major issue, no, but it could mean less gains. To be honest, my legs were dead so I'm impressed I was even able to do it 😂
