The sun is on its way, just in time for some cricket!

It's a massive weekend for the 1s in both league and cup action starting with a trip to Carrickfergus in Senior League One.

Then it's a small trip down the Banbridge Road to The Lawn to face Waringstown in the Challenge Cup Quarter Finals.

Elsewhere, our 2s also face Waringstown in Junior League Five at Po***ck Park whilst the 3s travel to Belfast Superkings.

Congratulations to Nathan Bradley on making his 1st XI debut as they beat Saintfield!

Bowling first, the 1s limited the hosts to 112/4 off 20 overs with two wickets for Jack Maxwell.

It was then a six from Jack Maxwell that sealed the six wicket victory with the 1s chasing down their target of 113 in 15.1 overs. Stephen Johnston top scoring with 38.

Up next is two away trips with Carrickfergus on Saturday and the NCU Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Waringstown on Sunday.

Our 1s are back in Senior League One action tonight (Wednesday) away to Saintfield!

After the disappointment of exiting the Irish National Cup, the 1s now focus on the bread and butter of the league.

The game starts at 6pm and, as a rearranged fixture, is 20 overs. Good luck guys!

Sorry John, you can’t hide from this one…

John Guy was our Man of the Match as the 1s beat Cooke Collegians on Saturday.

His innings of 35 whilst batting with the tail added valuable runs to create a defendable total. He then added two wickets with the new ball to set the tone for victory.

It was the end of the Irish National Cup road on Sunday for 1s with defeat to The Hills.

To reach the final eight in the National Cup is no small feat. Well done to the players and everyone for being involved in the competition this season.

1s win by 90 runs!

Six wickets from Liam Doddrell helped the 1s to victory against Cooke Collegians to bowl out the visitors for 70.

The 1s lost the toss and were put in to bat with things looking good at 33-0. However, wickets regularly fell to leave them 66-4 and 100-7.

John Guy (35) came to the crease and anchored the tail to take the 1s to 160ao.

Doddrell and Guy in their opening spells then reduced Cooke Collegians to 30-5 and then all out for 70.
