Delighted for all the kids who achieved their grading this last two weeks. They also got their JKD uniform and received their individual certificates. They continue to work well and enjoy the classes on Wednesday evening, as i do too. Keep up the good work and enjoy the experience with your friends.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and that Santa was good to you all. Just to let everyone know that the kids class will commence this Wednesday the 14th of January from 6-7pm at Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre.

Just a reminder as well to wear proper training gear and bring a bottle of water if needed. Looking forward to seeing all the Unity JKD kids as it’s going to be a busy and fun year ahead. 😊💪🏻

Hi everyone, for those kids who have attended regularly from September, I have to bring up the need for each student to be covered by personal insurance. I have looked into this thoroughly and the best quote at present is £7.50 per student for the year. Would it be possible to pay this amount by 26th of November? I am sorry to have to ask for this amount but it is necessary for any unforeseen circumstances.

On a brighter note I think that all the students are working hard and making good progress. Also, they are enjoying the classes and having good fun. Thanks again for your attendance and commitment each week.

Coach James Devine invited me to MKG North Dublin Martial arts on Monday night to cover kickboxing fitness class. I hope all those in attendance enjoyed the class that included basic striking drills, musical movements and elusive combat skills. Enjoyed the experience and thanks to Coach James for the invite.

A variety of activities that helps to create the drills and skills that are part of the basics of Jeet Kune Do. Feel it is necessary to keep the fun element for the young kids to hold their interest and to make sure that they enjoy themselves. To date we have had good numbers each week and good relationships are being formed among the kids.

We will return on Wednesday the 5th of November after the Halloween break. 🎃 👻

Good turnout on Wednesday night for the kids class and also a welcome back to Conor Mulholland. They all enjoyed and participated well throughout the session. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will be able to put a lot of our efforts into the JKD drills. Glad to see Angel-Louise and Saoirse return to the class as they can showcase their moves that they learnt last year.

If you’re interested there are still places available for kids on Wednesday night. Class begins 6-7pm.

Just a reminder that the JKD classes resumed last Wednesday evening from 6-7pm in Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre. The kids really enjoyed the class and it was good to see some old faces back with us. I would welcome any new comers and I hope to provide classes that will appeal to everyone.

To start off this year I will be providing a class for ages 5-11. When the numbers increase I will consider a second class for the older group. Hope to see you all there on Wednesday the 17th at 6pm in Taghnevan.

Hello everyone, hope that you’re all keeping well and are fit and ready for the new season of JKD in Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre. I hope to begin lessons on Wednesday 10th of September from 6-7pm.

During my travels I was able to participate in several types of martial arts eg boxing in Panama 🇵🇦, Brazilian Jui jitsu in Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷 along with capoeira. My final stop was Minnesota were I carried out an intensive session with G**o Rick Faye. I have also had a catch up in Skerries with Coach James Devine and I got back into the swing of things by taking two classes of Ghost Elusive Combat ghost boxing.

I can definitely say that my experience during the 6 months afforded me the opportunity of not only seeing different cultures but also broadened my knowledge of different types of martial arts. I suppose I can safely say that seeing Lucha Libre made me realise how tough the people involved in the sport of wrestling really are.

Arrangements are as follows:

Venue: Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre

Wednesday evening 6-7pm

Price: £6 per child, £10 for x2 siblings from the same household.

I hope to see all old faces and new faces on Wednesday the 10th of September.

Currently 91 years old 🤭Willie Nelson is an actual 5th degree black belt in martial arts! It's impressive how he's not only a legendary musician but also a skilled martial artist. His dedication to both his craft and his training is truly inspiring. You wouldn't expect a country music icon to have such a disciplined side, but it just shows how multifaceted he is. Imagine him performing on stage and then stepping into the dojo to practice some moves! It adds another layer to his already fascinating personality👏👏 My deepest respect 🥷
