Great swim from Ollie this morning to book his place in the 50m Backstroke semi-finals.

He goes into tonight’s semi-final ranked 3rd and is due to swim at 7:59 pm.

Still plenty left in the tank. Looking forward to seeing what he can do tonight.

The swimmers of Ludlow Swimming Club wanted to send a special message to our very own Oliver Morgan ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

From starting his competitive swimming journey at Ludlow to representing England on the Commonwealth stage, we couldn’t be prouder.

The whole club is behind you, Ollie. Go smash it! 💪🔥

🏊⚽ It’s Coming Home… and so are we! ⚽🏊

What a day!

Together, Ludlow Swimming Club swam an incredible 130.5 km… making it all the way from Ludlow to Chipping Norton on our virtual journey to Wembley! 💪

Every swimmer who jumped in the pool played their part. Every length counted. Every cheer helped keep us going.

We even had two swimmers completing their sponsored swim while on holiday in Corfu! 🌴🏊 Now that’s commitment!

Even more amazingly, we’ve raised over £1,000 for the club! 🤯

A huge thank you to everyone who swam, volunteered, donated, sponsored a swimmer and came along to support us. Days like today show exactly what makes our club so special.

We might not have reached Wembley this time… but we definitely proved what can be achieved when everyone pulls together.

💙 There’s still time to donate, so if you’d still like to support the club, we’d be incredibly grateful for every contribution.

Fantastic effort from all of our fantastic swimmers (and coach) on Sunday at City of Hereford's Applefest Sprints! Some amazing PBs, 1 gold medal 🥇 5silver 🏅 and 5bronze!! Well done to Monty, Callen, Betsy, Sasha, Evie and Robin for all getting medals. Such a lovely group of swimmers you all made the club very proud. 👏 Monty even managed to use his medals for a little spa session between races 🤣 also a shout out to Annie and Harvey who did a fantastic job swimming today for Lucton.

A huge congratulations to all of our swimmers that represented the Ludlow area in the Shropshire County Primary Schools Gala last night.

You represented the club and area fantastically and we are so proud of you all 🤩.
Well done to Monty and Harvey who took home medals in their individual events, and to the boys freestyle team who took home Silver.

Last Saturday Ollie Morgan dropped in to the Saturday morning training and got some pointers from the Foundation and Development squads. Afterwards he posed for photos with the swimmers but the person most excited to get a photo seems to have been Head Coach Robin. Afterwards, Robin said it was one of the best days of his life.

Performance squad swimmer Charlotte attended her first West Midlands Regional Championships held at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre, the location of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. It was a stacked competition with the top swimmers in the region with many swimmers having raced last week at the BG champs. Charlotte qualified for the 100m breaststroke and swam absolutely amazing going quicker than her entry time. She said she was very nervous before hand but you couldn’t tell. She swam fast from the start and swam a solid swim touching the wall in 1:27:66. Charlotte goes again on Saturday in the 50m breaststroke. Well done Charlotte!

🏊‍♀️ What a fabulous meet we had last weekend at City of Hereford Swimming Club 's Bullseye Sprints. 🏊‍♂️
We are so proud of all of our amazing swimmers. You really put into practice everything you have been working on.
So much to celebrate; lots of medals 🥇 , so many PB's ⚡️ and for many of our swimmers, their very first swim meet- memories made ❤️

Ludlow Swimming Club is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and ambitious Head Coach to lead our growing swimming squads in the West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing swimmers across all levels — from Foundation through to Performance and Masters — within a friendly, community-focused club.

✨ About the role:
✔️ Lead coaching across four squads (Foundation, Development, Performance & Masters)
✔️ Deliver high-quality, engaging training sessions
✔️ Support swimmer development and progression pathways
✔️ Work closely with volunteers and club committee
✔️ Attend competitions, camps and meets
✔️ Help shape the future direction of the club

⏰ Approx. 10–12 hours per week (evenings & weekends)
💷 £16–£20 per hour (depending on experience)
🤝 Job share considered

✨ We’re looking for someone who:
🏅 Holds a Swim England Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
🏊‍♀️ Has experience coaching competitive swimmers
💬 Is positive, organised and a great communicator
🛡 Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and best practice
