This 1930s catalog from Rigby claimed 3,000fps for the .275 HV. it is unlikely this was ever achieved. 2,750fps more like it. Paul Roberts recalls making some that did 3000 fps but they jammed the bolts. Had to back it off and believes that is what they always were.
